For the famous fried chicken, I paid extra for white meat. What I received was one breast and one wing. I have never before received anything but breasts for white meat. Overall the food was average. Cracker Barrel is better.
My wife and I were in Shipshawana, and we decided to try the Blue Gate restaurant. There are two choices for dining here: the restaurant where you pick something off the menu, or the buffet. We chose the menu. The menu restaurant is on the main level, and the buffet is downstairs. You can add your name to a waitlist online for either, and I would recommend it as both were busy. This place is amazing, Lauren was a phenomenal server even though it was a packed crowd. She was very attentive and the food was great! We had to come back the next day for the fried chicken, our server Justine was amazing as well. Definitely recommend this restaurant!
