Oh my word! The absolute best cheesecake I've ever had!! We went in for a salad the the pulled pork but took home a cheesecake. SO GLAD we did! Everything was very good. Very friendly staff. Not to be missed if you're in the area.
Stopped in for the first time tonight (definitely won't be our last), we had met up with some friends and had dinner.. let me tell you!!! The food was amazing!! We also had gotten dessert to go, and WOW!!!! Absolutely decadent!!! Our new favorite spot. 😍
Shawna Rae’s went above and beyond for our wedding desserts! We chose to have an ice cream and brownie sundae bar and Shawna Rae went above and beyond with the presentation, and the desserts themselves were absolutely delectable! Our guests are still raving about it! I wish I lived closer so that I could visit the bakery often, but I will for sure be visiting when passing through! Shawna Rae's Treats & Eats is a hidden gem in ShipShewana, described as a mom & pop place that should not be missed. The restaurant serves incredible homemade food, with both breakfast and lunch being flavorful. The dessert menu is ON POINT and very unique. The potato soup was special, and the chocolate cake sundae (share sized) is a must-try. The cheesecake is the absolute best, with options like the biggest carrot cake cheesecake with chunks of nuts and a hearty version that is lightened up by whipped cream. Other desserts include lemon cupcake (like a child hood memory), a Girl Scout cookie cupcake with coconut, caramel, and chocolate, and a peanut butter something or other that is fantastic. The pulled pork and salad are also very good. The staff is very friendly, and the owner, Shawna Rae, is the chef herself and could not have been nicer. The food is amazing and absolutely decadent, making this a new favorite spot. Note that the restaurant is only open a few days, so make sure to stop here.
