Food was delicious. Service was slow ... place was packed and not enough servers. hard to know how to staff a University town restaurant. with varying crowds depending on events (like women's NCAAs) in town. Our server worked incredibly hard to accommodate everyone... so did not downgrade the service.

Good food, but took a while to get a table despite having a reservation. Also, we requested a ground table and we got a high top. A little pricey considering sides do not come with it but everything tasted good!
Food was very good and not very crowded for a Friday night but also could be because of the weather. Had the patty melt and loved the caramelized onions and the fries were super crispy and came with pickles on the side if you dig that.

Burgers were okay, but not as good as we hoped. Milk shake was flavorless and was mainly whipped cream, which I actually asked for no whipped cream to begin with. Tables were dirty and watched the busboy/host barely wipe them off and let crumbs and chunks of food fall to the floor. Probably won't be back and will try other restaurants at the Eddies Commons.
There was eight of us . We reserved the table for dinner before going to the Notre Dame hockey game. Our table was ready upon arrival, the server was excellent and the food was outstanding. We will definitely be making a return visit .
Took 25 minutes for a water and beer after server was reminded. Ordered onion rings but brought us pretzels, twice. Finally got onion rings and they were cold and rubbery. Ordered the patty melt that comes with 2 smash Pattie's. Pattie's were so small that it took two to almost make a sandwich. Only 2 pieces of carmelized onion the size of a quarter on the sandwich. Overall, not a good experience.

Despite confirmed reservation, no table was open. No explanation or apology for what we were told would be 30 minute wait...same people were told who arrived with NO reservation...

Delicious burger, though my soda was pretty flat. I had to ask for a different table since they had us squeezed between two other groups when there were empty tables all around since I wanted to have a quiet conversation, but they were happy to oblige once asked.

Meh.... It's average at best. The burgers were decent but pricey. Not a lot of selections on the menu. It was moving in weekend for Notre Dame so lots of entitled students and parents were there. Probably won't return anytime soon.

My brother and I were visiting in South Bend and decided to try BRU Burgers. Was able to reserve a table. We both had the smaller size salad and it was plenty. We both enjoyed the salads. We shared a side of onion rings, and they were great. Service was great, our waitress checked on us often. Will def go back when in town.
We went there for dinner on a Thursday at 5:30pm. Both burgers were well over cooked. Seems too fancy for a burger place. I can get a better burger at Five Guys across the street. Highlight of the meal were the onion rings and ranch.

A nice more upscale option on Eddy Street. Burgers are always solid and the salad options are nice, especially with added chicken or salmon. Very good beer selection and OK wine on tap choices as well.

I've been to Bruburger many times, and very rarely have I been disappointed. But last night was not up to par. Most of it was service related, but sampler board did not have enough bread for the dips, and we were not able to get any more after we requested it. The onions, which are usually crispy and warm, were cold and completely wet and droopy. My friends french fries, were not the usual either. I don't know if it was just an off night in the kitchen or what. Hopefully things will be better next time.

Overall the food was good, the Cod sandwich was overdone and not great. The Bourbon Burgers were good but we had a trainee take the order and missed a burger. That may have been partially due to the noise level. My friend ordered her burger medium and then the Bru Fries to share; somehow our server thought she changed her order TO the Bru Fries only. Again, the server was also new and mistakes will happen. The noise level is loud when it's full, makes table conversation a bit difficult at times.
We we seated right away and informed our server we were on a time crunch. She expedited our food delivery and provided excellent service! The food was perfectly prepared. Can't wait to return and enjoy the full experience soon!
