The Blue Heron at Blackthorn

Lexi is amazing. She is incredibly organized and on the ball, isn’t trying to upsell you. We rented the Blue Heron for the following reasons: 1-the food was the best we tried in the local area. 2-the cost was the lowest of all venues and included rentals (we did a few upgrades-they work with Burns so no need for another contract, we even had requests for a certain outdoor seating that Burns didn’t have. Lexi worked with other local vendors to source them). 3-the location is stunning, particularly the outdoor space (plenty of room for lawn games and guests to roam). 4-they have a huge parking lot. Compared with downtown locations this allowed for guests to not have to worry about street or other limited parking. 4-Lexi! Our friends recommended working with Lexi for her expertise. Overall great experience. A few things to note: Food allergies were tricky to accommodate day-of (remember to ask guests about this in the RSVP!) and make sure that you know what needs to be returned to vendors (like flower vases), as Lexi’s crew will clean up and pack everything up for you so you don’t have to worry about that. Just make sure they know what goes where!

Almost 5 years ago now we had our wedding at Blue Heron and had such an amazing experience I knew I wanted our baby shower there. And of course it was just as an amazing experience as it was for our wedding!! I still highly recommend Blue Heron for any of your events, from great customer service and professional day of event. Lexi is the best! Absolutely love Blue Heron! It was amazing to be back for our baby shower! 💙🥹

There aren't enough words to describe how grateful we are to Lexi and her staff at the Blue Heron. We planned our wedding in 2 months and we never felt one ounce of stress because Lexi had it all under control. She guided us to exactly what we were looking for and allowed us to do what we wanted. Lexi played a huge role in making our day so perfect. Even a few days after, I had to pick up a few things, the staff was so helpful and truly went above and beyond to help me out. We couldn't imagine our wedding anywhere else. All of our guests talked about how beautiful the venue was and how much they loved the food. We never did a food tasting because we didn't care to, so this was a pleasant surprise to hear from our guests.Lexi is the sweetest and most genuine person. Her expertise on weddings was an added bonus! Again, thank you to everyone at the Blue Heron for making our day better than we could have ever imagined.We would be happy to talk to anyone who has questions regarding our experience because we don't want anyone to miss out on a wonderful opportunity to host an event at the Blue Heron!!

We got married this Friday at The Blue Heron at Blackthorn. Hands down, this was a FIVE Star event. From the initial meeting all the way to leaving the venue after the wedding was absolutely perfect. Lexi was so professional and listened to all of our requests and visions. She and her staff delivered an amazing evening that was stress free. Her involvement behind the scenes, during the wedding and, reception ensured perfection. To be honest, at first when I heard the price, I questioned if it was worth it. I would pay what we paid and more now knowing how perfect the day was and the quality they delivered. Thank you for giving us the most wonderful wedding ever! The Whitmans ?

Good location to hide a body

Lovely venue for a wedding reception.

Washington High School's prom was held there and it was perfect. The decor the Ambiance of the prom was great security great accommodations for those who needed it great very clean modern parking lot was fresh it was just great overall and around and my granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed it

I had my wedding on Saturday at the The Blue Heron. There is so many GREAT things I can say about this venue!! From them setting up, tearing down, having both ceremony and reception on site, a ton of food and drink options! Lexi was AMAZING to work with! She was understanding and cared about our big day!! Although I will not miss all of the planning… I will miss Lexi!!

A great place for family gatherings to celebrate any occasion.

Drinks were very watered down...even the ginger ale. Clean and decorated tastefully. Wait staff was friendly and efficient. Acoustics were terrible for public speaking.

This venue is gorgeous! With an amazing golf course backdrop and elegant interior design. The venue staff were super kind and great to work with. I loved DJing here!

We had our reception at the Blue Heron on 8.6.22! It was a true fairy tale! I cannot wait to show more photos of the day and all the details! We had 240 people with plenty of space for dancing! Lexi is an absolute dream to work with and walked us through every step! Detailed timelines, food tasting, set up for the day- and was always super responsive to all my questions! She truly loves her job and all the couples she works with, it shows! The service was amazing and my guests are raving over the food! The Blue Heron was the perfect place to celebrate the start of our married life together and this venue is truly the whole package!AND they have the best Golden Hour of all time! Forever grateful for this venue, staff and magical day!
