“Well, that was completely unexpected! I was confused when Chris' Ice Cream Shop came up on Yelp for Mexican restaurant suggestions, but I knew I had to try it. To be a little clearer, I, unfortunately, did not try the ice cream - mostly because I was too full. I ordered the chorizo enchiladas, and there were a lot of things to love about them. For me, the best thing about the enchiladas was that they weren't greasy. I was beginning to think it was impossible to get the flavor without the grease! Thank you, Chris' Ice Cream! The enchiladas were simple, but they packed a big flavor punch (just like it should be). The staff was friendly, and the food was out very fast! Don't let the simple looks deceive you. Chris' Ice Cream serves excellent Mexican food!“
“This is an excellent place for tacos. I'll have to try their other offerings. You can order from Julietta and then eat it at the bar next door where you can order a beer or whatever strikes your fancy. Otherwise of course, you can take your order home, but frankly, isn't that a bit boring?The tacos I ordered were excellent. There were a few choices of sauces, next time I'll use the sauce from the hottest bottle but then again I'm from New Mexico where we know this cuisine.Feel free to participate in the free exchange of culinary ideas!“
“We had a lovely time this evening with a great bartender and staff. Loved the Down the Rabbit Hole drink and of course the empanadas. But it was the friendliness of the staff that was the highlight. Learned about a couple of drinks and the rim dip stand while talking to the bartender and the manager helped us with a future reservation. Both of them represented the restaurant very well. We are coming back with a group for a special dinner.“
“I went on a date to Tlaolli a few months ago and had a great experience. Came back this week for lunch and tried the vegan birria tacos - wow! I couldn't believe the cheese was vegan. The crunch was exactly right and the sauce was so good. The consistency of the jackfruit was spot on and the whole meal was wonderful.“

“They don’t speak much English at all, and it’s not much customer service BUT the food is GREAT!! Steak, chipotle chicken, Lomo, and el pastor tacos are so good! Limited parking but if you can eat inside so you eat it at its freshest do it!!Parking: Only 4 parking spots in the front.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a wheel chair ramp.“
“Loved it! Went in for lunch on Saturday at 3pm. Their salsa is great, and has a little kick to it. I had the jalapeño margarita on the rocks and it was such a great experience. Again, had a kick to it. It was a good combination of sweet, sour and spicy. We had chorizo tacos, which were also delicious and came with heaping portion of meat garnished with red onions and cilantro.Clean place, friendly staff.Can't say there was anything I was unsatisfied with.“

“Very satisfied with my visit here. Would definitely consider it a hidden gem that other locals need to hit up. Stopped in on a busy Saturday evening with some friends. We were quickly sat, and greeted promptly by the waitress. The place overall was pretty small, so I would expect it to fill up quickly. On the weekends, they offer quesabirria tacos, which is what I had, along with a side of rice and chips and queso. The tacos were packed full of meat and cheese, and the juice that came with it was flavorful. The queso wasn't the best, but also not the worst- just average. The rice had good flavor. Overall, if I'm in the mood for authentic Mexican food, this is definitely the place I'll be hitting up.“
“I've driven by many times but never stopped in until today. The first issue I had was that the parking is behind the building, and then you have to walk back around to the front door. It's not a big deal but inconvenient if it's a rainy day or when it's dark, so something to keep in mind. It was empty when I walked in except for the staff/owners. I ordered a steak burrito, no beans for my daughter, and 3 tacos (chicken, steak, and carnitas) for myself. I asked for a second green sauce, and they also gave me a red sauce, and I also got a side of rice. The food overall was good, and the tacos were loaded with meat, onion, and cilantro. My daughter enjoyed her burrito, though she said the meat was very chewy. The carnitas taco was good, and I was surprised that they included the skin, which gave the taco some juiciness. The rice was good, though I felt it could have used some seasoning. I would eat here again, and it's close to where I live so very convenient.“

“I ordered the Birria tacos but with chicken. They were flavorful and fresh. The elote in the cup was some of the best I’ve ever had.They make the food to order, so call ahead or plan to wait 15-20 minutes. The truck is in the parking lot of the Shell gas station, so the lot can be a bit congested but that isn’t a big deal for me. I’m a fan of this place and will be back!“

“I lived on the west coast for several years and this is exactly what I've been searching for. Very friendly staff and fresh, delicious, fast service. It seems like a food truck by night and restaurant by day, super smart idea. I'll definitely be back. I also appreciated the added security patrol officer for extra safety precautions. Very kid friendly as well.Parking: This is off of a busy street so you may have to loop back around thru the neighborhoods if you pass it the first time.Kid-friendliness: They host events here for families with music, food, etc!“

“I absolutely love this little grocery.The meat counter is more than you could ask for. My usual pickup here is the fresh ground chorizo & steak.The hamburger is good, too. However, it is ground slightly different than what Kroger or Meijer does. So check it out!We always pick up 3 nights worth of dinner while we're here. A lot of options!“

“This is my absolute favorite place for authentic Mexican cuisine. The tacos are outstanding! The flavors come alive in your mouth and leave you wanting more! The staff is SO friendly and accommodating. They always go above and beyond to ensure your experience in their establishment is a good one! Lastly, I love the space as a whole. It's a beautiful place to have an intimate meal or have a few drinks with friends. I am from NY and no place in Indy has reminded me of home and family as much as Bakersfield. “Was walking by and decided to stop in. Was about 7ish on a Saturday evening. We got seated right away.Ordered the strawberry basil smash cocktail which was delicious, I had two. Also got the chips and queso and the quesabirria tacos. The tacos came with the consume too. The birria had decent flavor.We did sit next to the bar so my photos look green because of the giant green sign that said “social”.“

“When you walk into this place it looks like your average Mexican store but as you proceed to the restaurant you do a double take. It’s a beautiful place with a large statue and neat atmosphere. It feels like a plaza in a small town. Service was great and our waitress was kind and polite. The food was delicious and portions were huge. We had a nice meal and will definitely be back. Yum!“

“The setting was a vibe like a New Orleans type artwork. Clean bathroom and wonderful service. I can’t remember the bartenders name but he was really nice and knowledgeable of the drinks. Only thing I would suggest for the margaritas is the pre mix was a little sour.“
“Whenever I am in the mood for good margaritas and food I always come here. This visit I tried the carnitas chimichangas and they were so good and very filling. I always get the same drink every visit because the mango margarita on the rocks with the Tajín rim never disappoints. And the churros with ice cream are always so good. The service is always the best, they will always check up on you and make sure everything is satisfactory. The whole atmosphere is just wonderful, I always feel welcomed every visit and I definitely need to make it here at least every two weeks. I also love how if you download the touch tunes app you can be the DJ of the restaurant.“
