“This is an excellent place for tacos. I'll have to try their other offerings. You can order from Julietta and then eat it at the bar next door where you can order a beer or whatever strikes your fancy. Otherwise of course, you can take your order home, but frankly, isn't that a bit boring? The tacos I ordered were excellent. There were a few choices of sauces, next time I'll use the sauce from the hottest bottle but then again I'm from New Mexico where we know this cuisine.Feel free to participate in the free exchange of culinary ideas!“
“We had a lovely time this evening with a great bartender and staff. Loved the Down the Rabbit Hole drink and of course the empanadas. But it was the friendliness of the staff that was the highlight. Learned about a couple of drinks and the rim dip stand while talking to the bartender and the manager helped us with a future reservation. Both of them represented the restaurant very well. We are coming back with a group for a special dinner.“
“I went on a date to Tlaolli a few months ago and had a great experience. Came back this week for lunch and tried the vegan birria tacos - wow! I couldn't believe the cheese was vegan. The crunch was exactly right and the sauce was so good. The consistency of the jackfruit was spot on and the whole meal was wonderful.“
“The lady running the front was so friendly. The seating area is very clean and has a comfortable feel. The music topped it for me ♥️ the food was amazing! I’d consider this more of authentic cooking! So good! We got the chicken tacos, queso dip, and birra tacos and it was something we’re looking for driving an hour again to get! Would highly recommend this resturant!“
“I visited Taqueria Rosales for the first time and I'm very glad I did. The food and the service were both excellent.I had three tacos - chorizo, ground beef, and carnitas. All were delicious. I normally prefer flour tortillas, but their corn tortillas were excellent.“
“We have enjoyed the tacos one night with all the different sauces which was fun and second night we had fish tacos, a pork burrito some other kind of burrito but we all three adults and two teenagers really enjoyed the meal. I love the very light tortilla And thought the filling was delicious“
“They don’t speak much English at all, and it’s not much customer service BUT the food is GREAT!! Steak, chipotle chicken, Lomo, and el pastor tacos are so good! Limited parking but if you can eat inside so you eat it at its freshest do it!!Parking: Only 4 parking spots in the front.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a wheel chair ramp.“
“Tried for the first time tonight and I will definitely be returning!! Everything we tried was fabulous, from the queso to the sopes! They were so so Good!! Very friendly staff (attentive) we had three different people check on us! I would give them 10/10! Must try!!“
“Loved it! Went in for lunch on Saturday at 3pm. Their salsa is great, and has a little kick to it. I had the jalapeño margarita on the rocks and it was such a great experience. Again, had a kick to it. It was a good combination of sweet, sour and spicy. We had chorizo tacos, which were also delicious and came with heaping portion of meat garnished with red onions and cilantro.Clean place, friendly staff. Can't say there was anything I was unsatisfied with.“
“I drive about 45 minutes just for thier tamales and carnitas! Not only do they have good customers service but they also have very good food that has alot of flavor. The tamales do sell out fast you can call ahead of time an place an order and will let you pick them up the next day.“
“I ordered the Birria tacos but with chicken. They were flavorful and fresh. The elote in the cup was some of the best I’ve ever had. They make the food to order, so call ahead or plan to wait 15-20 minutes. The truck is in the parking lot of the Shell gas station, so the lot can be a bit congested but that isn’t a big deal for me. I’m a fan of this place and will be back!“
“I've driven by many times but never stopped in until today. The first issue I had was that the parking is behind the building, and then you have to walk back around to the front door. It's not a big deal but inconvenient if it's a rainy day or when it's dark, so something to keep in mind. It was empty when I walked in except for the staff/owners. I ordered a steak burrito, no beans for my daughter, and 3 tacos (chicken, steak, and carnitas) for myself. I asked for a second green sauce, and they also gave me a red sauce, and I also got a side of rice. The food overall was good, and the tacos were loaded with meat, onion, and cilantro. My daughter enjoyed her burrito, though she said the meat was very chewy. The carnitas taco was good, and I was surprised that they included the skin, which gave the taco some juiciness. The rice was good, though I felt it could have used some seasoning. I would eat here again, and it's close to where I live so very convenient.“
“this condado is one of my favorites!!! the food is so good, management is so attentive & the servers are always respectful and responsive! everything is fast and i’ve never had anything incorrect or inconsistent!! vibes are so comfy and fun! love condado and the manager Kait!!!!“
“Best tacos in town and fantastic service! Zach was dope and recommended the quesabirra tacos which were delicious. All the ingredients were super fresh and prepped perfectly. The space is chill and laid back and we had no wait to get a table. If you’re in Indy… leave Bakersfield, drive right past Condado, and snag yourself a seat at Cholita.“
“I lived on the west coast for several years and this is exactly what I've been searching for. Very friendly staff and fresh, delicious, fast service. It seems like a food truck by night and restaurant by day, super smart idea. I'll definitely be back. I also appreciated the added security patrol officer for extra safety precautions. Very kid friendly as well.Parking: This is off of a busy street so you may have to loop back around thru the neighborhoods if you pass it the first time.Kid-friendliness: They host events here for families with music, food, etc!“
“As a bit of an aficionado of Eastside taqueria fare, I can't believe I didn't drop a review here sooner. I've been going once a month or so since it opened (should probably go more tbh), and if I had to pick a favorite place for tacos and burritos, I'm pretty sure it's My Taco Stop.It might not be what you'd expect from an old school bus parked at an abandoned Christian bookstore in a neighborhood that's been struggling for 30 years. But this place is an oasis. Everything just tastes so fresh, from the meats and garnishments to the sauces and the elote. The seasoning and spices are perfectly balanced, and every bite is bursting with bright flavors. The portions are exceptional, and the prices are more than fair. The guy who runs the truck is super nice. He speaks English like it's his first language, which is a bit unusual for a place like this, but trust me, his food is the real deal. It's as authentic as it gets. He works hard and provides a much needed option for good, hot food in that neighborhood, and I really admire that. You can order online and pick up, which is what I typically do, and is what I would recommend for anyone apprehensive about waiting around for your food in an area that's mostly ok, but does have some crime. They seem to have better lighting of the parking lot now, which helps. I've never felt unsafe, but having had ties to the neighborhood my whole life, my perspective may be a bit skewed. Regardless, go eat some of the best tacos and burritos you'll ever taste, and support a good guy trying to build a small business in a part of town starving for investment.“
“This is my absolute favorite place for authentic Mexican cuisine. The tacos are outstanding! The flavors come alive in your mouth and leave you wanting more! The staff is SO friendly and accommodating. They always go above and beyond to ensure your experience in their establishment is a good one! Lastly, I love the space as a whole. It's a beautiful place to have an intimate meal or have a few drinks with friends. I am from NY and no place in Indy has reminded me of home and family as much as Bakersfield. Un hermoso lugar para visitar!“
“I absolutely love this little grocery. The meat counter is more than you could ask for. My usual pickup here is the fresh ground chorizo & steak. The hamburger is good, too. However, it is ground slightly different than what Kroger or Meijer does. So check it out!We always pick up 3 nights worth of dinner while we're here. A lot of options!“
“Was walking by and decided to stop in. Was about 7ish on a Saturday evening. We got seated right away.Ordered the strawberry basil smash cocktail which was delicious, I had two. Also got the chips and queso and the quesabirria tacos. The tacos came with the consume too. The birria had decent flavor. We did sit next to the bar so my photos look green because of the giant green sign that said “social”.“
“It is HARD to find good birria here in Indy! But this place is it!!! The consommé is so flavorful and just the right amount of spice! And the fun variety of food is awesome!! Will def be going back!! This has become a permanent spot as of tonight for my family so I hope it sticks around!! If you love birria you’ve gotta try this!!“
“This place is has some good Birria Tacos. I have yet to try more items on the menu, but I will soon. The prices are average, compared to most other places and taco trunks I visited. But the portion sizes is nothing close to the west coast or southern region.“
“Food 10/10 Like in at a loss for words tbh...but I guess the point of a review is to put it into words. It was honestly the best polish dog ever. Staff is great, and, hello!! pinball?! Super cool little Spot in Black Circle. Now, it can be suuppppeerrr loud depending on what else is going on next door - Which is not my vibe BUT it is 1000% worth it.“
“Been going here consistently past 3 years and it’s far and above the best tacos in the city. Service is excellent, food is always prepared fresh with generous portions. Never had a bad experience and would highly recommend to anyone looking for good authentic food.“
“When you walk into this place it looks like your average Mexican store but as you proceed to the restaurant you do a double take. It’s a beautiful place with a large statue and neat atmosphere. It feels like a plaza in a small town. Service was great and our waitress was kind and polite. The food was delicious and portions were huge. We had a nice meal and will definitely be back. Yum!“
“The setting was a vibe like a New Orleans type artwork. Clean bathroom and wonderful service. I can’t remember the bartenders name but he was really nice and knowledgeable of the drinks. Only thing I would suggest for the margaritas is the pre mix was a little sour.“
“The only crime being committed is how good this food was! This is a food truck located in a parking lot near an apartment building.I got the chicken burrito, it came with two little cups of Salsa Verde. Very good food and prices. The person who took my order and made my food was incredibly nice.“
“I nearly missed this place, but I am so glad that I found it. Nestled in the middle of a strip mall, it can be difficult to see when driving past on 56th St.The interior is so cheerfully decorated that it will instantly improve your mood. Surrounded by bright colors, dining in is a pleasant experience.I ordered at the counter, and the employee was very friendly. Before I even opened the menu she helpfully mentioned that they had vegetarian food as well, although it isn't on the menu.I ordered a vegetarian burrito suizo, which was smothered in melted white cheese and truly delicious. It was full of sautéed vegetables, rice and beans. almost didn't notice the desserts in the refrigerated case but as soon as I did I grabbed a choco flan.Breakfast is severed until 11 am, and I am hoping to return soon to try it.“
“We went to Gill Tacos for the second time ever. Probably the best tacos I have had. I got the steak (carne asada) tacos with cilantro and onions and asked for cheese as well. I like flour tortillas so I ordered flour. Soooo good!! My wife got the taco salad. She said it tasted good but felt like nachos since it was served on chips instead of a fried bowl. We live in northern Indiana but can't wait to get back south to Indy and have tacos there again. And I should say how the steak was so tender and the flavor is one of a kind that is so delicious.“
“Well, that was completely unexpected! I was confused when Chris' Ice Cream Shop came up on Yelp for Mexican restaurant suggestions, but I knew I had to try it. To be a little clearer, I, unfortunately, did not try the ice cream - mostly because I was too full. I ordered the chorizo enchiladas, and there were a lot of things to love about them. For me, the best thing about the enchiladas was that they weren't greasy. I was beginning to think it was impossible to get the flavor without the grease! Thank you, Chris' Ice Cream! The enchiladas were simple, but they packed a big flavor punch (just like it should be). The staff was friendly, and the food was out very fast! Don't let the simple looks deceive you. Chris' Ice Cream serves excellent Mexican food!“
