“I would rate Bugambilias at 4.5 stars. The restaurant was small, neat, and clean. The service was efficient and friendly. The food was was not salty or greasy and had excellent flavor, which reminded me of good Mexican restaurants in southern California. The salsa was mild but flavorful and not salty. I didn't ask about medium or hot salsa because mild was good for us. My Shrimp Fajita was the best I've had with perfectly seared shrimp and tender but not overcooked or burned vegetables. My companions also loved their Mole Poblano and Beef Mexiote. The fried ice cream and churros were very good for dessert. I recommend it, and we will definitely be back soon.“

“My favorite is the Chicken in Red and Spicy Chipotle Chicken. My wife and I really enjoyed it. The regular tamales are larger than our homemade ones. They have a really good amount of meat.

The chocolate tamale was pretty dry as expected. Needs some cream cheese or whipped cream. Maybe some raspberry drizzle.“

Thank you to Chef Carlos and his staff for welcoming us so warmly on our first visit to Indianapolis and for preparing the most amazing dishes. We appreciated finding vegetarian and vegan options in beautifully presented authentic Mexican style. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was inviting and relaxed with outdoor seating and a beautiful garden. The vegan chocolate cake was the cherry on top. Our family of 5 all recommend Tlaolli to anyone looking for healthy, delicious food in a romantic setting and definitely give it 5 stars . Make sure to check it out!“

“Did a short trip to Indi and we found ourselves near Butler University and looking for Mexican food. We found our selves at La Piedad and were pleasantly surprised. I am a bit of a Mexican food snob. This place knocked my socks off. Great service, great food, and drinks. This is my go-to place in Indianapolis for Mexican food.“

“I’ve been here a few times and the food doesn’t disappoint. I did have a disappointing experience today with our bill however. There was an extra meal charged on our bill which I brought to our servers attention. When she returned, I found that instead of voiding and printing a corrected bill, she ran a credit charge for the overage. This meant I had to pay the higher incorrect charge and wait (from what I understand) a couple 3-4 days for the credit to return to my card. I don’t feel it appropriate that the customer pay for the billing error then have to wait for a refund. I did let them know I wasn’t happy about it. I will be watching that I do receive this credit. It also put a bad taste in my mouth about returning anytime soon.“
