“They usually get my order correct. I often do online pickup. In the past, I would be frustrated cuz I would order a burrito and it's would be the smallest thing but running me 10 bucks. Now whoever is on the online order/pickup line does great. The only issue is my food is never ready when the system says. Which I understand it's lunch time so lots of people go in. However, I wish their system (not the humans in the store as it isn't really their fault) would be more efficient in noting the pace of the store and give accurate pick up times. So if you order online and they give you a pickup time add about 20 min to that.“
“It's taco bell, it a banger, Modtly order though in store kiosk so you don't even have to talk to anybody if you got anxietyVegetarian options: You can customize the most options and get veggies or potatoes or beans on almost any single meal optionKid-friendliness: It's taco bell“
“excellent food and excellent service and nice people. The building from the outside doesn't look like much but inside the restaurant is clean and bright. it's like a sleeper car only its a restaurant. this is definitely a book that you should not judge by its cover. it's a real gem. you will not be disappointed“
“The smell outside was enchanting. It smelled like street tacos in LA where I grew up and immediately knew I should up my expectations.I had a Brazilian drink flight (name?), which was good, but a little light on alcohol. We both picked the Picahna dish and it was amazing so it experience want too swayed. The pictures don't do it justice and we can't wait to go back to try the carne asada.“
“I love the food and the ambiance here. The food is incredible and not overly priced. The service has been great both times we visited. For drinks I tried the Smoke and Stone and the Fire and Ice, I preferred the former. This is definitely one of my new favorites.“
“The authentic taste of CDMX snacks, excellent attention and service, all the food is very delicious, it is a little piece of Mexico City in Indianapolis!Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian dishes like huaraches with nopales that are delicious“
“I started coming 2 weeks ago and I’m in for my third time already. Every one is really nice and make you feel welcome, the food is perfect and if you ask me the chief needs a raise just of the fact they care enough to make every plate with the drive up here, I’d come her every night if the wife would let me, and the drinks are on a different level“
“It's my first time trying Quesa Tacos, and it's delicious. I tried the steak, chicken and quesabirria tacos, queso and salsa. They even have a salsa bar with pickled carrots. Highly recommend. It's also very cute decorations and clean. My 4 year old liked his steak taco and queso.“
“I went on a date to Tlaolli a few months ago and had a great experience. Came back this week for lunch and tried the vegan birria tacos - wow! I couldn't believe the cheese was vegan. The crunch was exactly right and the sauce was so good. The consistency of the jackfruit was spot on and the whole meal was wonderful.“
“This restaurant was so GOOD!!! It's definitely in my top 5 in Indianapolis now. The Pupusa were delicious, I got the Loroco, Chicken, and Red Beans pupusas. Your pupusas come with slaw, definitely put that on top for the complete experience.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and vegan options. Vegan cheese!“
“One of my coworkers tried this spot for lunch one day and now my whole team goes a few times a month! We get different things and it's all been delicious! My go tos are the chicken tacos or chicken burrito. The owner is also so nice and remembers us when we come in! If you're looking for a delicious local Mexican place, this is it!!“
“The lady running the front was so friendly. The seating area is very clean and has a comfortable feel. The music topped it for me ♥️ the food was amazing! I’d consider this more of authentic cooking! So good! We got the chicken tacos, queso dip, and birra tacos and it was something we’re looking for driving an hour again to get! Would highly recommend this resturant!“
“Checked out this place for the first time! The interior was nice and clean. Service was fast and the food came out hot and delicious. We ordered three, tacos asada (a tad bit dry) and the chicken acapulco. The acapulco had plenty of cheese and was really satisfying. Also, the Mexican rice that came with it was actually tasty as well. We'll be back again to try the other items on the menu!PRO TIP: The first basket of chips and salsa are free. They will charge $1.50 for more. This wasn't a problem as the chips are really filling and we didn't even finish our initial chips!“
“My wife and I saw Guy Fieri review this "Tamale Place" location on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, and knew we had to try them out!! The first time was my wife's birthday, and I asked her to get in the car, we're going to lunch for your birthday!! We live in the Chicago area, so it was a 280 mile round trip, to Indianapolis, but it was definitely worth the drive!!! We've been back a few times since then!!! The food is excellent. It's the best tamales that we've ever had!!!“
“These are the best tacos in Indy. I usually take them out and they are still good when I get home. In inside seating are is very small, would only eat in on a lunch break. Employees are so friendly and remember repeat customers. Also a great price.“
“The service was amazing! We ordered a large amount of pupusas for an event and the employee helped us bring our food to our car. He also would not let us tip him for such a large order! Amazing place with very helpful and friendly staff!! Will be going back and will be tipping :))“
“This is THE BEST tacos, elotes, steak fries, burritos, tamales, well just everything you get here is delicious!!!!!! Great customer service, polite, professional, friendly, caring!!! Can never go wrong with tamales etc!!!!!! 100/10 easy!!!!“
“Tried for the first time tonight and I will definitely be returning!! Everything we tried was fabulous, from the queso to the sopes! They were so so Good!! Very friendly staff (attentive) we had three different people check on us! I would give them 10/10! Must try!!“
“Fresh food, generous portions, friendly staff, great service, great pricesWasn't the best service this evening but still a great place with great staff and atmosphereWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessibility at side entrance. Staff willing to move tables for accommodation if the tables have become an obstruction to prevent accessibility. More accessible for wheelchair than almost 90% of other restaurants that have tables less than 3ft space to walk between“
“They don’t speak much English at all, and it’s not much customer service BUT the food is GREAT!! Steak, chipotle chicken, Lomo, and el pastor tacos are so good! Limited parking but if you can eat inside so you eat it at its freshest do it!!Parking: Only 4 parking spots in the front.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a wheel chair ramp.“
“First time in Indianapolis after experiencing the Eclipse and I cannot say anything else but great words from this place! Staff were super friendly and accommodating from beginning to end! Food was delicious and came out lightning fast even though the place was full. I wish many restaurants would treat customers the way this restaurant treats its costumers. Amazing!“
“While I was there I saw a lot of American customers. I ordered chriso fajita. He ordered the buritto. He loved his food. Food had good flavor. The favorite is my pineapple ? soda. I think they need more help because it's popular and the seating area needs more constant care. Overall if you're in the area looking for a good price with mexican, fried chicken and gyros, stop in and see what you think.“
“Food is always very flavorful, considering how busy they always are the service is never horrible - they are always friendly and attentive. The only downside for coming here is the noise. It is always so loud, but the food and service keep bringing me back.“
“As a Mexican, I am very, very picky about going to a Mexican restaurant, especially coming from the Chicago Land area into Indianapolis and seeing the local food scene.Hats off to Don Pablo as his restaurant met my expectations with his delicious food. You get complimentary chips and salsa, the chips were hot and fresh and the salsa was full of flavors. We started off with the Guacamole Casero, which was unique as it has shredded lettuce and tomatoes mixed into it. It was delicious, however my personal preference would have been wanted it to have a little more salt and lime juice. We ordered 6 tacos and an order of the quesabirria tacos- we over estimated how hungry we were so this review is solely on what we ate.Tacos de Chorizo: this was an instant hit for me, it reminded me of tacos back home! Full of flavor, consistency in the chorizo and not overwhelming with cilantro and onions. Paired it with their orange salsa which was straight fire.Tacos de Camarón: The shrimp were cooked with a fajita seasoning and were not over cooked which can be a common issue. They were medium in size and were equally distributed within the taco. My husband really enjoyed them.Quesabirria tacos: hands down the best ones we’ve had out here in Indiana. They were not over saturated in any oil, had a perfect crunch, queso was on point and the consomé was delicious and did not lack flavor. The rice, did its job, but personally I’m more of a white rice gal with my meals.Looking forward to having the others later tonight!Customer service needs some work, we were only checked in on our server once and it was when we were at the end of our meal. However she was helpful early on into our meal and brought us extra tortilla chips when we got our guacamole, which did not come with any additional chips, simply the 4 in the molcajete.Overall a good experience and ever in Plainfield, I’d stop by again.I will say one of the things I was not fully a fan of was being charged .75 per cup of salsa to take some home with the rest of my tacos. I was surprised to see that on my receipt and was told “we don’t make the prices, I’m just ringing it in”. Which to an extent I understand, however I would have used the salsa there if I had finished all of my tacos. But that is very much a me thing and the way I think about things.“
“I drive about 45 minutes just for thier tamales and carnitas! Not only do they have good customers service but they also have very good food that has alot of flavor. The tamales do sell out fast you can call ahead of time an place an order and will let you pick them up the next day.“
“Loved it! Went in for lunch on Saturday at 3pm. Their salsa is great, and has a little kick to it. I had the jalapeño margarita on the rocks and it was such a great experience. Again, had a kick to it. It was a good combination of sweet, sour and spicy. We had chorizo tacos, which were also delicious and came with heaping portion of meat garnished with red onions and cilantro.Clean place, friendly staff. Can't say there was anything I was unsatisfied with.“
“Picked this on a whim. I'm not from this side of town but was down here dogsitting. Wow wow wow!!! The server was super kind, helpful, and when he found out it was our first time he explained how everything worked. It's more traditional Mexican so no free chips and salsa but I didn't miss it at all. They do have a salsa bar with all the things you would want to add to your tacos. We had the ceviche (made to order in house), steak torta, and Birria quesadilla. We will be back!“
“I didn’t know what to expect at first but after giving chino Mex a shot it was worth every dime. The serving sizes are great, the food was freshly made and you can taste the quality of the ingredients used. I would recommend this to any one looking for something fresh when it comes to Chinese food.“
“Absolutely fantastic. The place itself is so adorable and the food is phenomenal. We sat at the bar and had great service. Excellent drinks with fresh ingredients. I would highly recommend the rib entrée, costillas I think was the name. They are fall off the bone tender and deliciously spicy. The poblano fundido was also excellent, love love love the grilled cheese on top. I'll be back soon to try the tacos!“
“This place is small but it manages to have seating inside and out along with food and fresh baked pastries and bread. I was excited to try the quesa birria and it did not disappoint. I did not get the dip but they were delicious. The meat was flavorful and melt in your mouth tender. I also got some Asada and chorizo tacos. Both were good but the chorizo one was amazing. I haven't tried them yet but I couldn't say no to the tamale's. They look like the traditional Mexican style. I will definitely be back.“
“Papa Nachos!!! Papa Nachos!!! Papa Nachos!!!???I’ll keep this short. Strawberry margarita has real strawberries in it and packs a punch with delicious flavor! The Papa Nachos was something I never knew I needed in my life. Anytime I’m in Indianapolis I’ll be back for more. So damn goooood!! Chorizo chicken steak and cheese over waffle fries?!! What’s not to like?Salsa was great! Chips just ok. I prefer thinner chips. No issues with the service and the food came out really fast! Thanks guys for a great meal! Not bad on the pockets either.“
“The food is amazing! The nachos are huge! Definitely get them to share. They are served on a half sheet pan. The bowls are fantastic. I went with a vegetarian friend who loved their vegetarian burrito. Another had the tequila shrimp and there were lots of shrimp and peppers and she stated that it was excellent. Our group rounded out with the Carne Asada tacos and it too was flavorful and delicious. Each dish had a little kick but not overwhelming. We all left very full and happy! For 3 adults and a teenager the bill was $115 prior to tip. The 3 adults all had one alcoholic drink. Side note. There is one smallish TV at the bar so not a place to watch the playoff games.Vegetarian options: Satan Chorizo vegan burrito“
“This is my absolute favorite place for authentic Mexican cuisine. The tacos are outstanding! The flavors come alive in your mouth and leave you wanting more! The staff is SO friendly and accommodating. They always go above and beyond to ensure your experience in their establishment is a good one! Lastly, I love the space as a whole. It's a beautiful place to have an intimate meal or have a few drinks with friends. I am from NY and no place in Indy has reminded me of home and family as much as Bakersfield. Un hermoso lugar para visitar!“
“This has become our new favorite Mexican restaurant. The drinks, food and service are always top notch! Wonderful service from Alfredo and Kike! Baltazar takes care of making sure chips and salsa are served. Very friendly atmosphere ? Keep up the good work!“
“Best tacos in town and fantastic service! Zach was dope and recommended the quesabirra tacos which were delicious. All the ingredients were super fresh and prepped perfectly. The space is chill and laid back and we had no wait to get a table. If you’re in Indy… leave Bakersfield, drive right past Condado, and snag yourself a seat at Cholita.“
“The food and drinks were very good; however, the guacamole appetizer serving size was very tiny. The guac was good but the serving size had much too small. Nice decor, very clean, great margaritas and the food was great. We will definitely go back.“
“I actually dropped my wallet while there having lunch and didn't realize it! Later that evening my waitress brought it to my house! All of my credit cards and $250 in cash were all still there! What an honest and wonderful person! Thank you so much! Great food, so if you haven't tried it give it a try! As mentioned about truly great and friendly people!“
“This place has a super chill vibe. We went for lunch, but I would love to see this place in the evening! The house music added to the ambience. You have the get the platanos, we are coming back to try the sweet kind next. The Salty are pictured here. Fast, friendly service. Beautiful presentation.“
“Amazing food and nice people! First time ordering from a Mexican/Chinese restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. The Aqua Fresca's are a must try with fresh fruit and rotating flavors. Best crab Rangoon around. Will definitely be back!“
“As someone who likes to read and write, a spot like this is gold.Today, at 3 pm, I enjoyed a broccoli and feta omlette with a side salad, berries and toast, plus my coffee. Thanks again, Dad's, for taking care of me!Vegetarian options: I love the broccoli feta omlette with dressed greens, berries, and toast.“
“This restaurant is our family's favorite! The staff is so kind and friendly. The food is phenomenal. I've ordered many different things from the menu and leave with a full belly and smile every single time. I definitely recommend you try them out if you love authentic mexican cuisine.“
“Was walking by and decided to stop in. Was about 7ish on a Saturday evening. We got seated right away.Ordered the strawberry basil smash cocktail which was delicious, I had two. Also got the chips and queso and the quesabirria tacos. The tacos came with the consume too. The birria had decent flavor. We did sit next to the bar so my photos look green because of the giant green sign that said “social”.“
“My friend and I go here occasionally, and it's one of my favorite local spots. The staff is incredibly friendly and looks out for the needs of the customers! Today's experience solidified why I prefer them to other Mexican restaurants nearby. Highly recommended.“
“Chava’s Mexican Grill was quick, delicious, and friendly. The food is prepared infront of you and you get to pick your toppings. Their rice and refried beans are some of the tastiest I have had in the area. The salsas are great and they have plenty to choose from. The dishes pictured are a chimichanga and a torta al pastor.“
“Well.. let's start from the beginning wanted to go to Cracker Barrel but it's gone but then went to Denny's and let me tell you Denny's is not a good spot up there on Michigan. I'm not sure what address that is but it sucks we went in it was just three of us. It was not busy and the cashier, I'm sorry she was cashing someone out and someone else w her... standing there with her. She goes to the kitchen to complain about how she's been there since 530 and now it's like maybe 9 o'clock and how she wasn't gonna help anybody blah blah blah so we left and we ended up at Chef D's breakfast small quaint love it. The menu is very plentiful. We went for breakfast, but I wanted some of everything that was on there. It was my birthday the day before and we needed to get some food: my friends had to back home to Chicago and we came up with this place. Love it will go BACK!“
“I lived on the west coast for several years and this is exactly what I've been searching for. Very friendly staff and fresh, delicious, fast service. It seems like a food truck by night and restaurant by day, super smart idea. I'll definitely be back. I also appreciated the added security patrol officer for extra safety precautions. Very kid friendly as well.Parking: This is off of a busy street so you may have to loop back around thru the neighborhoods if you pass it the first time.Kid-friendliness: They host events here for families with music, food, etc!“
“Rule #1 is that everything should be in perspective.Found this place close to my hotel and thought what the hell, I'll try it. Glad I did. This ma and pa place might be small but delivered very tasty meal that came out quick. I will be back here again before I leave Indy in two days. Loved the variety of sauces.“
“Super delicious, one of the best meals in our beautiful sister country Mexico, I am from Guatemala and we always go to eat because of good service, good food and good prices.Parking: Well located and freeWheelchair accessibility: Very good and spacious, easy entry“
“Been coming here for years- it’s the best in Indy in this Texan that has spent much time in Mexico’s opinion. Al pastor, Gil, and campechano tacos are greatRegarding common complaints in negative reviews….- yes, there is a debit/credit card surcharge. deal with it. restaurants have to pay a fee for every card transaction… they could just raise all menu item prices universally regardless of what you pay with.. but ownership is great people.-also yes there is a surcharge for flour tortillas… honestly if you’re into american-mexican food go to taco bell or a gringo haven like On The Border.- regarding portions, if you’re so picky you remove the toppings besides meat… they aren’t going to double the meat for you.“
“Whenever I am in the mood for good margaritas and food I always come here. This visit I tried the carnitas chimichangas and they were so good and very filling. I always get the same drink every visit because the mango margarita on the rocks with the Tajín rim never disappoints. And the churros with ice cream are always so good. The service is always the best, they will always check up on you and make sure everything is satisfactory. The whole atmosphere is just wonderful, I always feel welcomed every visit and I definitely need to make it here at least every two weeks. I also love how if you download the touch tunes app you can be the DJ of the restaurant.“
