We found this restaurant when I was on the way to Spencer to speak to an audience there. It had fabulous food. The owner is super nice we got to meet him before and there's just a lot of wonderful ladies working there and they take very good care of you. It's family style dining so things come out in bowls you pick your main entree the catfish, the seafood platter is fantastic, they're known for their fried Chicken which my wife gets an absolutely loves. Even my mother got the country ham it's very thick it's very nice ham everything is fantastic their gravy is my favorite thing. We go to speak there three times a year and so we always stop at the hilltop on the way through. I drove my 87 year old mother out for her birthday and she loved it and even wanted to go back. You will not be disappointed here I guarantee

Well this was always one of my favorite place to dine,food was always very good, the owners retired and and the Hill Top now has new owners, we went there this past Sunday January 28, 2024, The food was presented family style like it has been done for years, that hasn't changed . Sorry to say I had the 1/4 fried chicken, always been my favorite The new owners have made some changes, don;t why you would change anything when the bussiness was very sucessful as it was, The place was only half full, ( always packed) should have been my first clue,
The service was great, but the food was not, Won't be back !
Made reservations and no sign to say they were closed. Drove up hill and had to literally snail it down because of how bad it was. Thanks for ruining our anniversary and my wife has never been and said she is not interested in ever going to try. Rude and incredibly dangerous way to run a restaurant ?
