Ballyhoo Tavern & Pizza King is an institution near Indiana State University, known for its pizza and full-service bar with a wide selection of cocktails and draft drinks. While the pizza was once praised as some of the best in Terre Haute, recent reviews suggest the quality has declined, with one customer describing a bland, cold pizza that was disappointing compared to the restaurant's past offerings. However, the establishment remains a popular spot for students to gather, with its cheap drinks, great music, and fun atmosphere, making it a go-to place for pregaming or casual hangouts during the week.
