“J. Gumbos was a great place to stop to eat while we were on our roadtrip, passing through Terre Haute. It is a welcome respite to the chain restaurants that litter nearby US41 and fits in nicely with the downtown's vibe. Our portions were appropriate, prices were good and the food tasty.“
“Used to work here, was held to a high standard and busted my butt off to make sure customers were satisfied. It had been two years since I was last in, and our server didn’t approach us for 30 minutes. Another 30 minutes later and we finally were able to order some food. We requested some sauce and it never arrived. Took an additional 45 minutes to get our checks to cash out. When I worked there this would not have been tolerated. Love the kitchen staff and their food and I have no fault against them, but our server was abysmal. Hope they can improve upon who they hire because I really enjoyed my time spent working there.“
“Simply put, The Terminal is an asset for Terre Haute. It was very busy at about 9pm on a Saturday. However, noise level was not overbearing. All of the staff were very friendly and attentive. Bartenders were quick with refills and made sure the experience was great.Food prices have clearly not changed in some time and we're great value. Quality of food was extremely high.I ordered a Bavarian pretzel, French onion soup, and macaroni and cheese. The pretzel was huge and came with a generous portion of Bier cheese. It was fresh and fluffy, and full of flavor with compliments to the cheese. The French onion soup was a hearty portion and exactly the amount of flavor you're hoping for with an appropriate mix of ingredients. The macaroni and cheese is extremely cheesy, so be aware of that if you are not into that. I happily downed every bite! I'd be happy to return!“
