I never wanted to post a review on this place because I feel like it's a well-hidden gem in Valparaiso just off Calumet Ave. But I love the place so much that I've decided to share the secret. This is our go-to Pizzeria for Family Pizza Night. My very picky-eating daughters love this place for the mozzarella sticks, cheese pizza, and the fun, inexpensive toy machines that they have. We always order their wings because they are always served hot and crispy, as good wings are. The food never disappoints and we always leave stuffed and with leftovers to spare. The staff is always friendly and polite. They're always working and aiming to please. This place has excellent customer service and delicious food for a great price. No matter how busy, my family will continue to come here for years to come.

Two times now I have placed an order and my goodness the young ladies that pick up the phone are very rude. the first time I got hung up before I can finish spelling my name. The second time I was given so much attitude after being put on hold for 15 minutes! And to top it off, again I was hung up on before I can ask the total price! It's obvious they don't care about customers and I can definitely spend my money elsewhere. If you appreciate customer service DO NOT go to this place!

As always, another delicious meal by Shoe's pizza. Got a sausage pizza, veggie pizza (you select what you want), and shoe's bites (garlic breadsticks cut up in bite size pieces) and enjoyed every bite.Just a suggestion, wish they had spinach and garlic to add to their pizza topping choices. As someone who primarily eats vegetarian, I wish they had spinach as an option.Even still, their pizza is outstanding and budget friendly and can't wait to get pizza again soon!!

This is the only pizza place I can recommend in Valpo if you're looking for NY Style pizza. First of all, the family is FROM NY. We spoke to the owners family while we were there one time and they gave us a great history lesson. Everyone is extremely friendly and they have a nice little arcade area my son loves. It's not over the top loud, it's a nice relaxing atmosphere. The fried pickles and mozzarella sticks are delicious, I've had their cheese and pepperoni pizza and I like them both well done. Everyone in Valpo and surrounding area should try them at least once.We got a large cheese pizza, with an order of pickles and mozz sticks for $40 for 2 adults and 2 children, we had enough left over to take home.

Just left there from having lunch with my daughter and was happy. We got the 2 slice lunch special and the pizza was hot and fresh and reminded me of a good east coast slice. The staff was super friendly and the restaurant was spotless. I will be returning.Kid-friendliness: Nice game room

The wings are awesome and the pizza is good. I don't like that they are screaming out names of people who ordered, it ruins the experience. We loved all the TV's. We would order more beer but no one came around to ask us and it's not clear how to get the beer otherwise. It would be nice if there was something on the table that would indicate the need for the server to come by the table. The workers are young and tend to have tunnel vision. We've been there twice and we will continue to go, the food is great.

We love Shoe's Pizza, whether dine in or carry out. The servers are awesome and the food was hot and timely. But the atmosphere was a challenge this particular event as there were children running around screaming while we attempted to reconnect with friends we haven't seen in 6 months. We'll come back, but hopefully to a calmer room.
Maybe good for someone but definitely not my type of pizza. I know a lot more f people love them but crust is big no for me! Didn't enjoy at all. Topping and sauce were ok.
