“I was beyond surprised at just how wholesome this restaurant is. The "quick lunch" menu had great choices. I rarely repeat restaurants, but I spent 2 lunches here. First, I had their ribeye sandwich. It's always hard to pull off, but they did marvelously, so I came back the next day for a sandwich I hadn't seen on a menu for a very long time....the Monte Cristo! It was better than I expected. The hand cut slice of ham stole my ❤️.The atmosphere is quiet, warm, friendly, and laid back without feeling like lazy if you know what I mean. The staff were Hometown good folks with real professionalism.Get this, though! Their salad bar had very fresh HAND CUT Romaine lettuce to start. Every vegetable in it was beautiful. It was kept tidy and clean. It's definitely a great place for lunch! I will be back!“
“This is a very good Family type Restaurant. No Bar. The food is great and they give you plenty of it. I always have to get a doggy box and I do not have a dog. The Menu has a wide range of food types. Some may find some of the dishes a little greasy? We do not because that's how we cook them at home. It is home cooked food. The Salads are freshly prepared and very nice. Breakfast all day. My favorite; the breaded pork tender loin, side salad and German fries. I always bring the German fries home and sometimes part of the tenderloin to eat later. They give you a lot of food for the $. You cannot beat this place for home cooked style food.“
“Loud, usually a DJ on weekends. Service is good. Dancing. Mixed crowd, never boring, and to top it off; Very good food. Made to order, it always smells wonderful and tastes better. Stop by and try it. Highly recommend.Parking: The lot isn't small, and is usually enough. When busy you can always find something across the street, etc. Parking isn't an issue.“
“Mason's is an old fashioned, pull up style restaurant specializing in grab and go food, ice cream and home made root beer. Upon pulling into the facility you will be greeted by a server at your car who is there to answer any questions you may have or take your order. First timers will want to take a moment to explore the many options this place has to offer. This restaurant is a very neat experience, especially for children, who did not get to witness this style of business. It's a great way to share stories of the history of American culture when it was at its basic beginnings in the restaurant culture. The food itself is priced very reasonably considering the inflation of products. It's also actually cheaper than most fast food places around which is spectacular when you consider this food is most likely not filled with a lot of additives and fillers.Feeding a family of 4 and grabbing a few extra things for supper (remember the pricing) was just under 50 dollars and that included the splurging of some root beer floats and a half gallon of root beer to take home for later consumption. All in all, this place is not only wonderful for food but it is a great family trip into the past that will fill the car with conversation of stories of yesterday. It is certainly a unique experience that you should not shy away from.“
“Restaurant on Wednesday has a Senior day starting after 3pm for $11.99/person. Nice atmosphere & lots of great tasting food, but pie was not included in price. Don't know where I would have put it if it was included. Cobblers & cookies & ice cream and salad bar was included. No wonder the place was close to being full. Nice buffett!“
“This local favorite has it all! Friendly and fast service, a salad bar, food that even I can eat (gluten free), affordability, and paneling on the walls that took me right back to my small town childhood. There's nothing special about Red Bones but that's what makes it so special! It's the heart of true southern Indiana hospitality and we will always visit when in the area. I recommend going in for dinner and staying late to drink with the locals.“
“Wanted something different for lunch and decided to make the trip. From my house, it was a 2 hour drive down 69. I haven't driven back roads in a while and was delighted to see all the farm animals and the Amish carriages. The restaurant seating is pretty large. Before you get seated, there's a general store. Reminds me of Cracker Barrel kind of but this one seems more authentic. I wished we stayed to shop. The buffet has a large variety: large salad bar, vegetables, meatloaf, fried fish, chicken and a large, large variety of desserts. I love that all is homemade. And it was delicious! Out of respect, I personally didn't snap pics. The bakery is connected as well and we left with a German chocolate cake and a cherry pie.“
“Passing through on business, found this Hidden Gem! Had the tenderloin wrapped in bacon, with sweet potatoes and Mediterranean veggies, steak cooked and seasoned to near perfection(no sauce needed) brown sugar and butter served with the sweet potato and the veggies had the perfect balance of crunch and softness with a good balance of seasonings. Most definitely marked for a return trip when I am in the area. Owner was very friendly and engaging“
