“We drove up to West Baden Springs, IN for lunch and decided on Ballard's in the Atrium. The atmosphere is breathtaking inside one of the largest atrium I have ever seen. Regardless of the food, this is a must-do experience you need to undertake.I ordered the Classic Wagyu Beef Burger. It was presented with an 8 oz Wagyu beef patty with lettuce, tomato, onion, house pickle, and a choice of cheeses. I went with American. The burger was good, but not great. I had fries as a side. The fries were a little soft and soggy.My wife enjoyed the Caesar Salad with salmon. The salad was served with chopped hearts of Romaine, shaved Pecorino cheese, and garlic croutons. This was all tossed in a traditional Caesar dressing. My wife enjoyed this very much.We had glasses of wine to go with our meal. There is a great selection of drinks offered. There is also a children's menu.As I stated above, this is a must-do place to dine just to take in the beauty of the atrium. The food is somewhere between 3 ½ to 4 stars. Three and a half for the burger/fries and four stars for the salad. I'm giving Ballard's in the Atrium four stars more because of the atrium and not so much for the food. Enjoy!“
“Our soups were great. Scallops were cooked perfectly but the presentation with risotto was not inviting at all. The wedge salad was not enjoyable by either of us. One of the shared dishes was missing a serving spoon. Very disappointing for the 2 of us expecting so much more for the prices.“
“This place is a one of a kind. There is so many pictures of sports figures and Hollywood movie stars, Hollywood memorabilia. The food is excellent and the staff is so friendly, the owner is always there to shake hands and talk to you. Pretty awesome “
“Following our practice of not eating at chain restaurants, we used our experience to guide us here because the parking lot was filled with pick up trucks. Greeted by Charlotte, we were offered menus and asked for drink orders. We both ordered chicken and dumplings - one of the specials. We learned that despite the relatively early afternoon time of our visit, we got the last two servings of this comfort food special... that told us it had to be popular with the regulars. I had my plate with mashed potato and gravy, my friend had german potatoes and brown beans ... both described as obviously home made and tasty. For desert, my friend had the peach cobbler ... thought it was a little too sweet for him. I had coconut pie and ate every bite while making yummy noises. Two full meals, two pies, two ice teas with refills was $20! A gem and deserves a visit. Breakfast and lunch only...“
“Great service, great views, the salmon BLT needed better bread and the bacon was too sweet ( syrup or sugar added to the crust and not needed )... appetizer chicken wings were very very good!!! Steak nachos off the appetizer menu also good, great steak and the other components were pretty good, tiny amount of guac and too big of a glob of sour cream.... My spicy shrimp pasta dish, shrimp were cooked perfect and great but the pasta sauce no spice at all and it was ok, pasta was good but the sauce was just off.... Great photos to look at and a good sized barParking: Parking is on the lower level so it's a little uphill walk and then to the ramp or stairs to enter the pro shop/restaurant“
“This little gem in French Lick is a must! Every time I visit the town I make it a point to dine here for breakfast.. it's by far one of the best diners I've ever eaten at. I traveled a lot prior to losing my husband for business so I've ate in a lot of places. If you're in this neck of the woods be sure to stop by. You won't be disappointed. Prices are very reasonable and the food is divine“
