The food pricing is astronomical in comparison to the quality of the food and taste. In our large party, we had multiple dishes sent back due to receiving cold and undercooked food after waiting well over an hour for our food to be delivered. We were not met with an apology or offerings to make it right. If you’re looking for good food, I would go elsewhere.

Atmosphere is lovely. Service mediocre and food terrible. They charge insane prices for the food that is served. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and it was served with a large part of the fish undercooked and I had to send it back. Sides were cold and had to be sent back. Save yourself a lot of money and disappointment and go elsewhere.

Our soups were great. Scallops were cooked perfectly but the presentation with risotto was not inviting at all. The wedge salad was not enjoyable by either of us. One of the shared dishes was missing a serving spoon. Very disappointing for the 2 of us expecting so much more for the prices.

NOT Solo Traveler Friendly. 3 week old reservation and seated in corner outside of kitchen after an earlier request for more central table. Previous evenings were corner & wall seating when they were not so busy. Was told when making reservation it was formal attire - many patrons with jeans, ball caps an hoodies. Previous evenings being a 25% plus tipper did not make a difference. I was treated Very rudely when I did not want to sit at the kitchen entrance table. Left after first course on 3rd night when the rude manager argued with me. Same specials 3 nights in a row.

Had breakfast and it was delicious, you can tell when there is a Chef present. The stuffed French toast was out of this world. Highly recommend this place.

We dined here for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was delicious, prepared as requested, plentiful portions and very friendly, professional staff. The dining room is beautiful! Complimentary banana bread was super! We had dinner at Table One which is a private dining room that has a view of the kitchen. It includes a tour of the kitchen by the chef. House wines were included and they were good. The menu is a bit limited but everything on it was very delicious. A wonderful experience. Our server Paige was professional, knowledgeable and friendly and Chef Lee was great!

Ordered a ribeye, got a filet. No bill adjustment but whatever. My fiance's steak was rare instead of medium. Drink order was wrong. Under casual dress when there's supposed to be a business casual minimum. Seated at a half booth when it wasn't even at a third occupancy. And the delightful guest behind us who were smashed and obnoxious but allowed to stay.

Starting with bread: warm rolls, slightly crispy outside, nice irregular texture inside, a sign they were rising (unlike whipped dough with baking powder put in the oven, aka industrial sponge buns), and NOT sweet - thank you. Cod was fresh and cooked right, so were scallops. Nice desserts. Great service.

As part of our anniversary weekend, we dined at Sinclair's in West Baden Springs Hotel. It's a classic upscale steakhouse and the experience was worth the price. My husband had one of the house specialties, filet mignon, which was perfectly prepared. The vegetarian in the pair, I carb-splurged on wild mushroom fettuccine with an interesting port cream sauce that added a little sweetness. And who can resist tableside-prepared flaming desserts? Not us! The bananas foster was terrific and our attentive server clearly enjoys sharing her flambé skills.

I can't recall a more elegant setting for breakfast and dinner than Sinclair's Restaurant in the West Baden Springs Hotel in French Lick, Indiana. It could only be more opulent if it was located in the adjoining six-story atrium, which features a magnificent dome that spans 200 feet. Instead, the restaurant is located off the atrium. In the morning, enjoy breakfast. In the evening, from 6 to 9 on Thursday and 5 to 9 on Friday and Saturday, enjoy dinner. High ceiling, white tablecloth tables, large windows, pillars, high backed chairs, lush carpeting, impeccable service, desserts prepared tableside. For starters, my wife and I had Colossal Shrimp Cocktail, poached White Tiger shrimp with fresh grated horseradish, lemon confit and chili sauce, bowls of lobster bisque and Chopped Iceberg Salad with oven roasted Roma, tomatoes, bacon Lardon, blue cheese crumbles, watermelon radish and Green Goddess dressing. For her entree, my wife chose an eight-ounce Certified Angus filet mignon with natural jus and bearnaise sauce, Yukon Gold Garlic mashed potatoes, broccoli and herb butter. I opted for a 14-ounce bone-in Certified Angus Kansas City strip steak with green peppercorn sauce, baked potato with sour cream and herb butter and sauteed mushrooms. For dessert, we couldn't resist Bananas Foster for Two, prepared tableside, bananas flambeed in brown sugar with banana liquer and Myers' Rum, then served over vanilla ice cream. Without a doubt, it was a meal befitting the elegance of the surroundings.

We tried the salmon and it was delicious. The staff was very attentive. We enjoyed the quiet elegance of the restaurant to unwind after a busy day.

The West Baden is to beautiful and upper scaled to allow such mediocrity food. Sinclair's is overly priced and the food quality not a good value overall. We are here for two days and we literally wasted half our breakfast for two. The Hashbrown casserole was awful and the chorizo burrito was so off-putting. If that was chorizo it was old and precooked, something wasn't right. Chorizo has such a unique flavor and this burrito fell short. Oatmeal is $14.00 a bowl, for something that costs a quartet per bowl, we didn't need the fruit on top, for us, but the bowl was still $14.00. We passed and we will not dine there again. Oh, and why would a place with such potential with such neat history take shortcuts on ice tea. Bottled, pre-made ice tea is nasty and at $5.00 per serving its a poor value. Ice tea is so easy and inexpensive to make, West Baden and Sinclair's should really get ride of the cheap processed tea.

The only thing I regret about our stay is not eating dinner at Sinclair's. Breakfast was phenomenal. Like over the top phenomenal. I got a breakfast sandwich. The biscuit may have been the best biscuit I've had. The service was excellent. It's at the West Baden, so the atmosphere is just perfect. Classy, but not gaudy. I trust you will not go wrong with dinner there.

A Friday night at 600pm, very few customers. Seated in a half booth type table, somewhat cramped for an average human. Very very slow service. Food, although steak was cooked wonderfully it has very little flavor. Mashed patatoes were as if they had been sitting out; dry and stale. Dessert... waiter brings the tableside desert to prepare and leaves. After talking and waiting on other tables he returns finding melted icecream. After 2 more rounds of melted icecream, running out of propane for the burner, and overall questionable preperation, we are told it is how it will be. Very average desert at best.Overall, food was average at best, service was HORRIBLE. Definitely not worth $250 for a couple. Will never be back.
