New location of Heisei that opened in around June. Only serves omakase (chef's choice tasting menu) dinner right now with two price options. Need to make reservations in advance. The food was decent and made with care, variety was awesome, and raw fish quality was good. The environment feels warm and welcoming.Would recommend for people who are looking for a special meal or occasion to celebrate, or a little adventure that offers a unique experience from the typical WL restaurants.

Deduct 1 star bc they only gave 1 piece of pork Cha Shu for ramen.Taste wise, it’s one of the best ramen in West Lafayette.Tips: order from chowbus. Very inconvenient bc it’s only open for dinner on Fri and sat, I’m glad I got to eat it before I leave for good

Doesnt know why they are not open for dine-in by now. I guess they want people forget about them.

Love their Katsu curry but the rice portion got significantly smaller recently.

The Closest taste you could ever get being out of Japan, a very decent taste with no loss, the service is very good, incredibly one of the Cooks is mexican and he is owner of a ver decent cuisine, Congratulation.

Love the Curry Katsu Don. The food and environment is definitely worth the price. Best Japanese food in Lafayette area.

Sushi was only okay at best. Very small compared to other places. Lacks flavor in everything. We got soup, salad, octopus balls, California roll, rainbow roll, and salmon 200 roll nothing was worth writing home about. I would definitely recommend Sushi Don over this place any day of the week.

Sometime, other restaurants often use lots of sauce over their sushi to cover up the stale ingredients they use. They may taste yummy, but not healthy. However, not this place. The seafood they use for their sushi is so fresh that they don't even use sauces to cover the fresh taste of seafood up. Every bite of sushi you take, you can taste the freshness of the ingredients they use. If you want authentic Japanese restaurant, then this is the place to go. PS. Due to covid, they are currently not serving sushi. Makes me sad. I really hope they can bring them back soon.
