The noodle is not a typical "fried noodle" of Yakisoba, it tastes so bland and not good. I do not reccommend this restaurant ?

I grew up in West Lafayette - we've been coming here for years. I don't know how Maru gets such fresh sushi, but it is delicious!

Our restaurant experience was horrible. The restaurant is not clean, the staff gave horrible service, and the sashimi had an off fishy taste. The staff continuously watched us as we tried to eat and were overly early to get the check paid. This place is a great way to pay $50 for a bad lunch and food poisoning.

The BEST sushi you can find near Lafayette. I highly recommend the Maru Roll and Salmon Teriyaki Roll. You can't go wrong with the edamame or udon either. The staff is always friendly and efficient. I'm in here at least once every other week. Well worth the visit.

Visited Maru Sush on N Chauncy this weekend for lunch and was very surprised in a good way. The food was great but the atmosphere was really needing some love and care. The walls need painted and patched and in general the decor and ambiance could be much better. The Tuna Tataki Appetizer was good. The tuna was flavorful but the sauce seemed to lack a punch that would have really made this dish stand out as amazing. I gotta sat that the presentation fire tho!We ordered the Endless Summer Roll and the Sunday Morning Roll. Both were very good and I highly recommend. Sushi is a tough one to recommend because individual's taste for rolls differ so much but there should be something here that you like and I recommend going and trying to find it.

The best sushi place in West Lafayette. Whether you want some tonkatsu, some udon or you want some delicious sushi, this is the place to go.Parking: There's a sometimes-free-sometimes-paid parking garage across the street, and another one around the corner.

Since Maru sushi was took over by the Chinese take-out place located across the Panda Express in Tippecanoe mall, I have never revisited yet. A few days ago, I got maru to dine in with my in-laws. Maru is not like before. We ordered 8 rolls and some nigiris. Sushi rice in nigiris was hard and dry. Rolls are smalls compared to other counterparts. It was evident that the new kitchen management had not properly trained or motivated their team members. Overall, the recent change in ownership has had a detrimental impact on this once-loved sushi restaurant. The decline in fish portions and quality, lackluster service, and impersonal atmosphere left me feeling disappointed and let down. I hope that the new owner takes our feedback into consideration and works towards restoring the restaurant's previous reputation for excellence.

Me and my fiancé have been coming here for about 5 years. We either get pickup or dine in at least once a week. We are obsessed with this place. The service is the best we have ever seen. They turn tables quick so you don’t have to wait. Also, the staff are constantly filling you drinks and making sure you’re doing okay. So friendly! We have never had an order messed up which is surprising just due to how often we come. It will always be our favorite restaurant in town. It’s a must try!!! All the food we have gotten has been great but our favorites are the fried gyoza, shrimp roll, Mexican roll, chicken teriyaki roll, the bibimbap tofu and the bibimbap beef (regular one).

Great choice for sushi, can be busy when the students are in town. No frills atmosphere makes it easy for families.

Brightly-lit restaurant is not doing the place any favors as it feels sterile. Would be great to have a little more ambience and some dimmer lighting. They offer beer, wine and sake.Sake was nice and hot which was a pleasure!Food was good. Sushi was solid, not the best, not the worst. Very standard sushi. The hot stone bowl was good but not 100% authentic, as it lacked the little side dishes. Note it came with some steamed broccoli and some shredded root veg but lacked the other sides (kimchi, potatoes etc) that normally accompany a hot stone bowl.Overall, this was a “B” grade. If I return, I’ll stick with the sushi.

We went for dinner and had sushi. Sushi was great, but our server was rude. She almost took our plates before we could finish our food. Didn’t like that. Had crab mushroom and tuna sushi everything tasted great.

Food was delicious; highly recommend the spicy salmon roll! The service is quick and kind! The soup given with the meal was also very good. Definitely recommend Maru for sushi :)
