Best Asian restaurant in the area by far. My wife is from Taiwan so I know asian/chinese cuisine pretty well and the Taste is very authentic and reasonably priced. Just outstanding. I very much recommend bringing a group and ordering 5 or 6 dishes and sharing and you will have a great experience!!!

The food was fine, but they did not wash their vegetables before serving which means you gonna have some fun trying to remove the dirt between the leaves. Intestences was way too frozed, omitting a weird smell. Some of the hotpot toppings also has some wierd taste because they have been soaked in water for the whole day. They also self included 15% of the bill as tips for themselves which I really dont understand. Overall, each of us got charged almost $50 each for just a hotpot, which is way too expensive compare to some other options such as peppercorn, kimchi, or if U want something similar but out of campus, K town in indy could be your best friend.

I went with a friend about a week ago. We found brown paper towel in one of the dishes. Though the waitress did not charge us for that dish, I would not come back here again. I’ve been eating at Taste since it opened, but the food and service quality here is getting more disappointing. There’s only one lady serving everyone, and she told me I must give 20% tips, even when it’s not said anywhere in the restaurant or in the menu. Would not eat here again. Doesn’t worth the price.

I have tried Thai food all over the country. Some of the best ones are in San Francisco and Dallas. The food is good here, however I would not say it is top of the line. But the pricing is outrageously more expensive than I have ever paid anywhere in the country. Every place I have been, steamed rice was by default offered for any curry product. Paying $18 for average amount and paying additional for steamed rice in a not so fine dining location doesn't make sense. The rice provided quantity also was significantly less. I would strongly suggest management to think about the approach. Rice is cheap and fills people up. You don't want your customer leaving unfulfilled. Also, either increase quantity of the dishes for th price or include basic stuff like rice, Or invest into making the place high end.

One of my favorite quality assured Chinese cuisine restaurants. My go to dishes here are: Eggplant, potato & bell pepper. Orange tofu & General tso tofu (has a nice breading and is not slimey). Spicy string beans. Spicy rice cakes. Fried noodles with vegetables and extra tofu (this one is slimey). Scallion pancakes.

The Kung Pao chicken we ordered was too sour. Seems like they put too much vinegar in it. There were only peanuts and deep fried diced chicken in it. We also ordered cauliflower dry pot. Both dishes were really oily and greasy, and not fresh!!!P.s. my boyfriend got diarrhea like 30 minutes after we had dinner!!!

Very rude to grub hub delivery people. The instructions say “pick up at counter”. There’s like 3 counters in the building , and apparently it’s all the way in the back.

The cauliflower in grilled fish is rotten and some of them even are green and moldy. When we said it to the waiter, she didn’t show any sign of apology and we just have 5% off due to this rotten food. Definitely not recommend to go to this sloppy and unsanitary restaurant.

Great food - definitely the best sichuan food in West Lafayette and that's what I care about most when I go out to eat. I don't really care that much about the service, but I've had generally fine experiences here - not mind-blowing service, but things come out quickly and the staff is polite and welcoming. One suggestion is that they should allow people to BYOB with ID.
