Triple XXX Family Restaurant

I've been by this place and heard nothing but good things about their burgers. So whilst in town on a college visit with my son, that would be Purdue University, we had some time to kill and decided today was the day. We didn't have to wait to long to go belly up to the counter and put our order in with Valarie. By the way she was a phenomenal waitress who was friendly and alway had our root beer topped off. This place was really crowded at lunch time and if you are one of those people who don't want to sit right next to a stranger then I recommend axing for an outdoor table. I had the Flash Gordon burger and this monstrosity was amazing. 4 burgers, bacon, grilled onion, cheese, jalapeno pepper and jalapeno catchup. I am leaving a picture that I took so you can gaze at that burger in all its glory before I commenced to put it away. My son, who isn't very adventurous had the grilled tenderloin, plain. He did say that it was good for what it's worth. But get yourself a burger because they all looked delicious. We will be consuming meals at this historic local again soon.

Absolutely a must stop in and try in Lafayette. Great food, root beer and service!

Do not waste your time. This is strictly locals only. Literally nowwhere to park. Every lot around it is a row away zone. Wish I would’ve seen on their website that parking was zero so I wouldn’t have driven almost 2 hrs

Great Service & Food (Crystal was an awesome waitress)! Went here for lunch after my Purdue Commencement Graduation Ceremony. It was also my first time trying a peanut butter burger and root beer jelly (very good)! Definitely will come back next time i’m in town. :)

We stopped after seeing a billboard on I-65 about this diner being featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives — and it was totally worth it! Breakfast was delicious, the staff was incredibly kind, and our server, Aaron, even snapped a family photo for us outside. We grabbed a few four-packs of their root beer to take home. Located right on Purdue’s campus, it has a lively college atmosphere that made the visit even more enjoyable!

My family and I went in for an early dinner before heading home from the Hunter's Moon festival. Jack was an awesome server! The food came out fast despite the place being packed, and it was soloist goodie! I got the Leroy loin, my hubby got the double cheese steak burger, and my son got the Duane Purvis. Nobody left hungry!

Okay, I would probably give you five stars no matter what. But we did love our burgers fries and the root beer. However, we need to be more home team biased on game days. How about people wearing away team gear get bumped below any and all Boiler gear patrons. Perhaps unless they buy a Purdue or a triple xxx shirt to cover up. Just a thought… BOILER UP!!
