“This place is so good that macaroni is like home and that chicken they show you love on the
chicken keep going there they give you even more the is chicken is so moist and flavorful. I like the chicken and the vegetables are so freaking good. They are freaking amazing and the red beans and rice is so gravy. It has a lot of gravy in the red beans and rice. You would like red beans and rice messing with this place change you whole perspective please try them. You will not be disappointed. this place is so tasty. You were really like when you spend your money and try them and they give you large potions the last two days for me. I eat on this for two days they show you love all the sides. “Swung by One Stop Jamaica Jerk on 79th and grabbed the jerk chicken dark meat dinner. That chicken was juicy with just the right amount of heat. Sides of red beans & rice and cabbage were on point, and the plantains added a sweet touch. Washed it down with a Jamaican soda, bringing the total to about $25. Portions were generous, and the flavors hit home. Definitely a solid spot for authentic jerk on the South Side.“

“Was a great Chicago style hot dog. Had beef as well and that was good to. Was a big beef. Had it with peppers, came with red and green peppers. Next time would also get giardiniera. Fry's were hot and fresh. Not much room to eat in but we ordered at counter and still ate in, it was a cold day. We fit in with our 3 adults and 2 kids at the counter style seating just fine.“

“First time here and definitely worth trying. The chicken is soft and well seasoned with the jerk flavors. Mac and cheese is cheesy and good. Cabbage is good..now the red beans and rice tasted like rice a roni..it didn’t have that real flavor of red beans and rice plus I think all I got was like three beans. Then it came with some sauce that was sweet, rubbed me the wrong way. But overall I would recommend for anyone to try for themselves.“

I usually don’t do reviews but when something is good I definitely support I usually stop and get a donut at Dat Donut and then I walk down and grab some jerk, the location and atmosphere I would only stop during the daytime but as far as the food it is reasonably priced, the portions are large, the jerk chick is really good so is the rice and peas very soft and cabbage, the Mac and Cheese I will say is bland and it is a 3$ up charge lately they have not had any plantains which is a disappointment but I will say if you want some good authentic jerk food try Jerk it iz.“

“Was in town for a visit. I came for the ox tails and they were out of them. No patties. In a new place, I decided to see how their jerk chicken tasted since they didn’t have my favs. The wings were decent and the jerk entree was OK. Not the best jerk I’ve had. Not close. But was definitely tasty and I would recommend. But if you’re used to authentic Jamaican jerk, this isn’t it. The service was fine and rhe atmosphere was 🔥.
