“Our first time visiting Taste of Belize and we were not disappointed! This restaurant was referred to us by a client who gave it a stellar review. We ordered the Jerk Chicken dinner with rice and beans and cabbage (It also came with plantains) along with a side of curry goat. Everything was outstanding!! The jerk chicken was so tender and the goat so flavourful! The portions satisfied both me and my husband. I also have to give a shout out to the gentleman who took our order as he was warm, welcoming, and eager to serve us.If you are looking for a good home-cooked carribean meal provided with excellent service and a smile, try Taste of Belize in Waukegan!“
“First time I came all the way from Texas. I have to admit, overall, the food was good, the rice was not cooked from scratch, but I got the carribean twist. That's the only reason I did not give a 5 stars. Now, the Khan Khan pork chop, OH MY!!! I was not expecting that kind of pork chop SUPER BIG and delicious. My wife and my daughter had a mofongo con churrasco, and they loved it. The chef came to me and explained about the rice and gave me a mofongo instead. I really can't complain about the service. They really take care of you. I will definitely come back but no rice.“
“Food was amazing . But no sense of urgency callled my order in 20 mins before I arrived to the store and still had to wait over 45 mins to get my food . It’s like the only person who knew what they was doing was the cook everybody was lost confusing orders taking all day to get them out when the foods already made just needs to be put on a plate then into a bag. I don’t think I should have waited 45 mins for that . If they get they front end together this place would be untouchable“

“Had dinner there last night. The waitress was awesome! She helped us choose our signature drinks, which were very good. The service and food was great. We had the jerk chicken and pork tacos. Would highly recommend eating there. Can't wait to try it again! A new item on the menu wasn't ready yet, so will definitely go back to try the Pork Griot.“
