“Best shop around. It’s like home every time you step in. I also want to know where they hide fresh radishes all year round.“

“Food was ok. Not sure if it’s that location or Taco Bell in general but the food has definitely gone downhill in recent years. Good place to go for a quick snack but it’s not cheap for a meal…that’s not the fault of the workers tho. Nicer than it used to be before the tornado took it ok. Without a doubt the skimp on the meat and cheese and load UP on the veggies…that’s every Taco Bell tho.“

“I can't remember the last time I would have thought a restaurant of any level would deserve 5/5. I have eaten here with my wife 4 times since I came to Winchester, and every single time it has been perfect. Unbelievably fast, super polite and professional wait staff and bussers, the food is high quality and maximum flavor with generous portions, I've never had to ask for a drink refill, the ambiance is traditional and relaxing, and the price of the food should be 3 times what it is. I have eaten Tex-Mex all over Texas, had tons of authentic Mexican cuisine from food trucks and best kept secret spots in Chicago ... El Carreton annihilated all of that. This is the best Mexican restaurant in America. If you show up, and want a safe bet, get the El Carreton Special fajitas (steak, chicken, chorizo, shrimp), the Steak Vaquero (yes, its cooked medium, trust the plan), the El Jefe Burrito (chicken, onions, chorizo, pineapple, cheese, etc) or the traditional tacos. The beans and rice here are even worth praising. I swear they use chicken broth or something to cook that rice, its next level. Anyway, if you come here, you most certainly will have the same experience. Don't disrespect this place by undertipping. This place needs to stay like this as long as possible.“
