Desi Chowrastha - An Indian Eatery is a restaurant serving authentic and delicious Indian food. The atmosphere is described as tranquil, clean, and attractive. The staff are friendly, courteous, mannerable, kind, and attentive, with the manager checking on guests. Service is generally great.
The restaurant offers a daily lunch buffet with a large selection and wide variety of foods, including options for both meat-eaters and vegetarians. Multiple reviews highlight this as the best Indian food buffet, with everything being delicious. For à la carte, popular dishes include chicken biryani, garlic naan, cheese dosas, crispy masala dosa, onion and spinach pakora, and potato samosas, which are fresh, crunchy, and of excellent taste. The mango lassi and milkshakes are also noted. Food comes out quickly, though there can be a longer wait time at some visits. Prices are reasonable.
While most food receives high praise, a few items like a particular puri and Chana masala order were disappointing. The crispy masala dosa can sometimes be too thin and crumbly. Overall, it is a highly recommended place where guests leave full and pleased, making it a spot to revisit.
