Had an honest to goodness double burger done the old school way in a little diner in Bern, KS today. That old flat top has flavor aplenty and try as the new places might, this is the little diner/lunch place that made a burger with all the flavor I remember from the Drug Store or Bowling Alley as a kid. We had the hot beef lunch special at the Bern Cafe. Even though we arrived a few minutes after normal closing time, we were greeted graciously and served a delicious lunch. Will definitely return the next time we are in the area,

What better way to grab breakfast or lunch in the a small town of Bern. Charlie and Jake have really outdone themselves and this small town community was waiting for the good food that they provide. The menu is big with just about any option you would want for breakfast and lunch. Come in for a cup of coffee and a homemade cinnamon roll or J*** Pork Tenderloin sandwich (which is quite amazing might I add)
