I am generally a huge fan of Chipotle, but unfortunately, this particular location in Derby is, in my experience, the worst one in the entire Wichita metro area. The primary issue stems from a notable lack of employee knowledge and poor customer service skills. The staff often seems unfamiliar with basic procedures and doesn't handle customer interactions to the high standard expected of a major chain. While the core recipes should ensure good food, the execution here seems inconsistent and does not uphold the high standards of quality and portion control practiced by other area stores. The difference in care and consistency is noticeable. The housekeeping is decent,however, the tables are typically found dirty.
I hope management addresses these staffing and quality issues, as this location has significant potential if service standards are improved.

Wish there was an option for zero stars. Employees seem to not care and are extremely rude. I wanted Carne Asada steak which wasn’t ready keep in mind I’m the only person in line this place was not busy at all. The lady who checked me out was rude and slammed my bag of food down on the counter and stormed off in a hurry forgetting my drink so I had to wait longer for her to come back to tell her she forgot it and she slammed that on the counter too. 3 or 4 soft drink options out of order as well, this place is a joke and needs evaluation by corporate it’s no wonder this store has so many one star reviews, I hear it’s the worst chipotle around. My food was bland as well I won’t be coming back no matter how hungry I am you all suck.

Welcome to Chipotle Derby where the staff hate their lives and express it in every order they take. Where you can see the extra protein crawling on the counter and the only way to get your order right is to go behind the counter and make it yourself. Promise you will experience less resistance to make you order correctly if you do it yourself!
Don't worry it will taste over cooked and you will still get to over pay for this garbage!

Y'all outta be ashamed of yourselves. Taking the veggie option out? Really??? Just to save money on guacamole I'm guessing. WOW!!!!!!! Can't even get the vegan sofritas because y'all let it sit there for days it seems like. Always got a go to the bathroom multiple times cause of it. GREED is so ongoing in this society right now it's not even funny. The portions get smaller and smaller but the price keeps going up. Good luck!

I was not happy with the lady working today! Her attitude made me not ever want to come back! I asked for veggies and she went over to the hot stuff and then said is that all from over here very rudely and then continued to have an attitude and stayed quite as I was checking out! I’m sorry but even having a bad day she just had a snotty look and attitude the whole time will not be coming here again!
My husband has an intense aversion to cilantro and the gentleman who served me was so kind and understanding. He went above and beyond to ensure we were able to get an enjoyable meal.

Every time I go to this Chipotle, they’re magically out of all the free ingredients.. fajita veggies, mild salsa, corn, you name it. But somehow they never run out of the stuff that costs extra. Steak? Guac? Cheese? Fully stocked. Convenient, huh
It’s like they’re not even trying to hide it anymore. At this point it feels intentional, like they’re just trying to save a buck by quietly skipping the freebies and hoping no one notices.
It’s not just frustrating it’s a full blown tease. Derby has a chipotle but you basically can never actually order what you want no matter what time of the day😆 This location should definitely do better

Haven't said anything for a while but today was the worst my daughter's steak chunks were flavorless and dry as jerky. I even spit it out when I tried it.. Not to mention the portions when you call ahead are a complete joke

Me and my husband placed an online order to have our food delivered. We don’t live to far from Chipotle. When the food arrived it wasn’t even warm. Not even the bottom of the bowl. The rice was stiff. It came just as you see it in the bowl. Doesn’t even look appetizing. I paid $16.70 for just this one bowl that seems as if it had been sitting out for hours. The website is apparently sketchy cause I placed an order for 1 Burrito bowl for myself and 1 Burrito Bowl for my husband and somehow when I hit order it must’ve deleted one of my items cause I had done my typical order review prior to confirming my order. Anyways, not saying this place is no good I’m just sharing my 1st experience with them.

Today at 7:40 26 June 2025 I picked up our mobile order. My rice bowl had several pieces of bite size chunks of fat. Food was cold The place was discussing! THE FLOORS and EVERY Table, even the counter where you checkout was covered with food. Trash was overflowing and piled up on the floor. The young man that waited on me was actually picking up food and shoveling his mouth with food. My question is, Who is in charge of that place?
