Took my husband here yesterday and he loved it! I’ve been here a few times but not recently. My food was absolutely delicious!! I ordered the chicken street tacos. The chicken was fresh, juicy, and they even gave me double tortilla. I feel like it’s rare to order something and get fresh tasting chicken. Not here!! We will now choose Las Vaquitas over any other Mexican restaurant in Derby or the surrounding areas. We also had a super nice server.
Fan-frickin-tastic! We tried this place after rave reviews from my daughter. Started w the salsa which was so fresh and good I literally drank the part that I couldn't scoop up w a chip! The guacamole was on point as well as the queso dip! I had the shredded chicken chimi and it was stuffed so full of chicken it was incredible. Our waitress Kayla was THE best! She gave us samples of the cantaloupe water (amazing) and hibiscus water (more tart but great!) Made ourselves thoroughly...
This place is just an absolute gem. The owners are very accommodating and friendly. Connie is the life of the party. The food and service were over the top excellent. All of the dishes stood out as excellent but the service and willingness to accommodate a large group at the last minute puts this place over the top. Highly recommended coming here to meet the staff and enjoy the excellent food.
