Making clear this was in Derby not the restaurants in Wichita. I was meeting a friend for coffee. Right away we were rushed to order....server got a little huffy that we weren't ready to order. Food came right away was good like normal nothing spectacular. Had to ask twice for coffee refill. Server brought check....cleared plates. Came back by 10 minutes later and put a reserved sign on our table. Restaurant was getting a little busy but there were at least 5 dirty tables that people were sitting at waiting to be cleaned. The guy a manager I think came along and picked up the two straws laying on our table. I just thought that was so very rude. I'm probably not going to go there again since there seems to be a time limit on how long we can stay and visit.

We absolutely loved the Riverside Cafe. Service was prompt and friendly. They were packed on a Sunday morning but the food came out hot and fresh and fast. Don't sleep on the chicken fried steak breakfast it is wonderful. Huge portions, enough that you can take home for breakfast the next day

Riverside Cafe impressed me with the best omelette I’ve ever had, it was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The wait staff was attentive and friendly, even during a busy rush. The noise level was a bit high, but that’s expected in a cozy, bustling spot full of happy diners. Highly recommend!
