A long, long time ago in an Emporia far away, I used to work the night shift, and very, ver early in the morning, we would go to DD to getem hot. It was then and still is about the Bearclaws! They are pastry goodness! And a cold milk and hot Starbuck's coffee (blonde roast) and bazinga - bazonga - bagooda!
Willard's donuts (Daylight Donuts)is a small place and has been in Emporia for at least for over thirty years. It is my family's go tout place for as long as I can remember. The Willard family no longer owns it but the donuts and service are still great. When we were younger we would come in at all times if the day and fresh donuts would be coming out of the kitchen. This is easy. They have a good product line and know how to consistently make it gooood! If there is one drawback it's that they are so popular they sellout every day. So for a guy that isn't up at dawn it's hard to get there soon enough in the day. But we like it, like it!
