Always excellent, but tonight’s filet was the best steak we’ve had in a long time. Soup and salad were both delicious with unique tastes as well. And the creme brûlée always keeps me coming back for more - I’ve never found any better!
I recently visited Union Street Social with a party of four, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Our server, Nathan, provided outstanding service—attentive, friendly, and professional. We were seated in the back, where the ambiance was warm and inviting, perfect for an enjoyable evening.
Now to the food—everything was absolutely phenomenal. For starters, we had hummus with chicken as an appetizer. It was fresh, flavorful, and set the tone for the rest of the meal. I ordered truffle fries with rainbow trout (or maybe salmon—either way, it was amazing). Others in the party enjoyed shrimp pasta, filet mignon, and a perfectly cooked steak. We also tried the brussels sprouts, which were crispy and seasoned just right.
The dessert was equally impressive—we indulged in a creamy and delicious custard crème brûlée. For drinks, I had two, including a margarita and an old-fashioned. The cocktails were well-crafted and reasonably priced compared to big-city prices (seriously, a drink like this in New York would easily be $28).
The chef deserves five stars. Every dish was cooked to perfection, from the flavors to the textures. It’s clear this place is run by someone with exceptional talent and passion for food. Even the cost of the meal was minimal compared to the quality we received.
Overall, Union Street Social is a must-visit. Great food, excellent service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to return. Highly recommend!

Cozy Eclectic vibe. We went to Brunch on a Sunday and loved USS. First time visiting and will go back next time we're in Emporia. Had the Dirty Happy Camper, but everything looked good. They have sofas and easy chairs and can imagine it would be nice to have a coffee snuggled up in front of the fireplace.

We sat for 15 minutes waiting to order and nobody came to our table. I felt invisible and excluded. Pretentious atmosphere. Sad I couldn't try the crab cakes. 😭

Union Street Social is an amazing place. I've had the best prime rib here. Their prime rib was better than a smoked prime rib. Before this experience, Bobby D's smoked prime rib around 4-6 years ago (2018-2020) was the best prime rib & Union Street Social was better than that. The au jus & horseradish sauce was great and unique. It was served with a great mashed potatoes & asparagus cooked to teach l tender, crisp. All of it together was amazing! The service and atmosphere were great. It was a bit pricey at $52, but it was worth three price for a one a while treat. I would go again & try more foods. This was my second time to Union Street Social. I was there for brunch on Sun. I had the eggs Benedict with Crab cakes. It was delicious, too.

This restaurant is so very good. My SIL wanted the family to eat together there for her bday. She made some great recommendations. The guys really enjoyed the quality of the steaks and my MIL and I fell in love with the Warm Brussels Sprouts Salad. Now it sounds a bit odd for a salad but it's absolutely delicious. I forget our other choices (group of 7-8) but everyone was so delighted with their food, the service, AND the ambiance. You really have to try this place.
