“I need to tell you about a little hole-in-the -wall place we visited Saturday night. “The Other Place” is a small bar and grill in downtown Garden Plain, next to City Hall. Nothing fancy, but spotlessly clean and everyone was really friendly and accommodating.We had a burger and fries with a cold beer to go with them. The 1/2 lb burger was cooked perfectly and was topped with grilled onions and pickles. Mustard and catsup were available. The fries were hot, seasoned perfectly, and plentiful.Long story short....the food was darn good, the beer was cold, the small-town bar and grill was great, and I would recommend you stop there for some good eats and friendly atmosphere. We will be there again for sure!“
“Getaway is a great place to grab a burger and fries. Their double bacon cheese burger is a full pound and super tasty. The atmosphere is very down home, small town. The beer is always cold cooking right out of an ice bath. Blake and his crew do an excellent job. Take the short drive west and give them a try. You will be happy you did.“

The portions were very generous; the cost very affordable; and all the appetizers and main entrees were hot and ready when we arrived to pick them up! Our event was for about 70 people, and they were well prepared to deal with that sized crowd. We got many compliments on the quality of the food!“
