We stopped in at Breakers Eatery and Bar in Hays, KS for breakfast on a Monday morning. The restaurant was quiet, which made for a relaxing start to the day. The food was excellent — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was outstanding, attentive without being overbearing, and the restaurant itself was spotless and modern. Overall, a great dining experience. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in Hays!

We went in for breakfast, there was maybe five occupied tables. I had the breakfast burger medium raw and my husband had the chicken fried steak with over easy eggs.... My hamburger was cooked well done my husband's eggs were hard and he couldn't even chew the steak... Our waiter Ryan was amazing until I told him about our meals at that point he gave me attitude and walked away without letting me finish my sentence.. So much for customer service

For an almost empty restaurant, it took a long time to receive our food and when we did most items were cold. Multiple items were never brought to the table and then not taken off ticket. When addressed about taking off items, the waitress said she’d take them off but forgot to add the coffee and would be adding that. So total for the bill increased at this point. The best part of our visit was the cool flooring. Will not be going back.

This is a perfect lunch stop between KC and Denver! The food and service was excellent, and I was pleased at how inviting and clean this restaurant is. There were also quite a few healthy options on the menu that weren’t your typical fried bar food. We will definitely be back!

We had lunch and while the Sandwiches were hot and well seasoned the French fries were cold and limping. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful, but it took more time than expected to receive food considering it was sandwiches and fries (and we don't believe it was the waitress' fault). The ambiance seemed very sterile with the black and white colors and the bright lights could be a warmer tone. Some plants could help soften the atmosphere along with some pops of color.

I hadn't returned to Breaks since they changed ownership, but I was pleased to see my favorite Eggs Benedict still on the menu. It was delicious, satisfying, and enough to carry me through the day. We will definitely return. The service was also good. I've added it to my must-come-again-soon list!
