It’s a bit hit and miss here. I’ve visited on several occasions and I’ve had some great BBQ and I’ve had some that tasted like it was reheated from the day before. I’ve visited on days where they should have been open but the restaurant was closed without a reason. If you’re lucky and it’s a good day then it’s worth the stop for sure.
Surprised there weren’t many people here, were traveling from Colorado home to Pennsylvania and found this spot in gorgeous old town Hays. Great food, great service, and great atmosphere. Was a little disappointed that the restaurant was out of ribs and only could offer 4 ribs at 7:30pm despite being open until 10pm but I got to try the beef burnt ends which ended up being great and a large portion size. They had also been out of milk so I was unable to try the root beer float...read full review

Had a great experience! The food was great, but the service made everything. Efficient and friendly. CJ went above and beyond expectations. Her knowledge of the menu helped me figure out what I wanted and I never felt in need of something. She was always a step ahead. I will be back!
