What a great meal. Very friendly service and good food. My husband had a vegetarian omlette and I had the veggie skillet. Very fresh veggies.

It's not Golden griddle any more. It's called ninth street diner. It was our first visit since the change. Food was great service was great. Will defiantly come back. I had ham and cheese omelet plenty of ham. Good hash browns. Nice decor clean

I have ate here before and the food is good. Today was busy and they got us a seat faster than what I was told. Once the whole party got there it took 20 minutes to get waited on even after trying to flag the waitress down. (Was waited on by another waitress.) There was a party of six that was seated after our party and was waited on before us. It took 50 minutes to get our food and the waitress only came back to our table once. Food was good but service was bad.

Get away from the interstate and have a great breakfast!

Under new ownership but amazing food. The sign outside says 9th street diner and has a bar feel from outside but the food and coffee were a great brunch. French toast is best I had in a long time and huge portions for the price. Will be back for sure!

This place used to be great. The new owners took half of the items off of the menu including the chimichanga which was the best thing they had to offer. Apparently they don't turn on the A/C anymore and they always seem to make seating and paying much more difficult than it has to be. They're basically unsorted and apparently trying to run it into the ground

Food was not good. Didnt get my wifes food, moms food was made incorrectly. When set back in Hope's of having it remade it never was. (We didn't pay for it but that's not the point.) The menu was half scratched off (probably time to print new ones) and just one server. Was pretty meh.

Nothing special about this place. Careful when you order-Food you get doesn't match up to what is described in menu. Snotty and defensive waitstaff when you bring it to their attention. Hard pass!

My family and I were all very impressed at the wonderful breakfast we were treated to at The Golden Griddle! The eggs Benedict was superb and the 3 pig omelet was amazing. The bloody Mary was one of the best I've had! We will definitely be back if we are in Hays again!

Worst Service I have ever had, the order was wrong and when the waitress corrected the order and it finally came out. They had left the sauce was left off and when I tried to tell the waitress know she copted an attitude. When she brought our ticket she said since it took so long she gave us a discount but upon looking at the ticket I noticed she had charged me for something I didn't order. Which was a dollar more than what I had ordered, but when she corrected the ticket I noticed that the discount she had given me was now a dollar less so the bill did not change. I paid the bill but I left no tip and I always tip until now. We have ate there several times in the past and always had good service till now. We will not go back.

I am originally from Hays, Kansas. When visiting relatives, I enjoy trying new places to eat. My brother and sister, both, highly recommended the Golden Griddle. There were five of us and a toddler that visited this restaurant today. We were seated as soon as we walked in. We ordered and received our food quickly. As I was eating my ultimate burrito (which was excellent BTW), I noticed a hair under my food. I notified one of the workers who promptly took my plate away. The lady who was helping our table, Robin, came over and said I got your plate. All of our staff wear hats, it didn't come from the kitchen. I will discount your ticket. At this point Robin became visibly agitated in her demeanor and actions. I nodded and smiled. Robin came back with the ticket and said she took my food off. All of the orders were on one ticket, we asked for it to be separated. Robin was not happy with this request. Once she came back to our table with correct tickets, we all notices that a 20% gratuity was already figured into the bill. My sister asked about this. Robin stated with parties of 6 or more we can do that. My sister asked if that was why she coped an attitude with us, she was going to get her tip regardless? Robin stated she did not have an attitude and proceeded to throw a pen down at me to sign my receipt. My sister asked for a manager. Robin stated she was the manager. My sister asked for a different manager. Robin stated she was the only manager, she was the only one we were going to talk to. My sister then asked for the owners information. Robin stated good luck with that, he doesn't live here. Robin stated that the hair did not come from her kitchen. I stepped in at this point, trying to say with you stating that, you are accusing me of putting the hair in my food. Which is not good customer service. Robin walked away and would not listen. I want to mention that there were a few in the kitchen with hats on(which does not cover the entire head of hair)and one darker blonde haired gal who merely had half of her hair up in a ponytail. I understand that issues like this can happen, the problem I have is how the situation was handled. Visiting their Facebook page, it clearly states gratuity is added to parties of 8+. This is unprofessional.
