My son and I had the pleasure of eating lunch at Sam and Louie's in Iola, KS today. Nice atmosphere, clean and absolutely spotless establishment! The food was amazing!! Very tasty - my lasagna was definitely the best lasagna I've ever eaten! Side salad was crisp and the dressing was pure perfection! Quiet little spot, good food. I had the cheese tortellini with marinara stand l sauce with a house salad. It was all good. The breaded meat ravioli was good, too. Definitely on my do it again just.
First time to visit. Our waitress was new but she did ok. Food that I tasted was ok. The sandwich I asked ahead of time if it was hot and told yes ended up not hot or toasted. I wouldn't order it again. I also tried the cheese bread and to doughy for me. Not done enough or crispy. They may have been rushing tho we arrived an hour and a half before close and they were not busy. Upon getting ready to pay we were told there is a 3% charge to the customer if using a card.
