I had lunch at this place yesterday. The food was good, but the customer service was terrible. The lady taking orders on the food side was very rude and clearly didn't want to be there. She didn’t greet customers or even say thank you.

I asked for a specific taco, and instead of telling me that the meat I requested was unavailable, they just gave me something else without saying a word. It felt like they really didn’t care about the customer experience at all.

Honestly, it seemed like they treat customers in a way that makes them not want to come back. I know I certainly won’t be returning and I won’t be recommending this place to anyone.

I moved here from Texas about two years ago, so naturally, when it comes to Mexican food I compare everything to Tex-Mex, it is a downfall of mine. When I first moved here everyone told me KC has amazing Mexican food and I have to check out a very popular Mexican spot over on Southwest Boulevard that starts with a P and ends with onaks. I went home and cried on my floor it was the worst food I’ve ever had. In that moment I swore off Kansas City Mexican food.
Flash forward to today. I get on Reddit where a girl who also moved here but from Florida was speaking of San Antonions saying it was some of the best Mexican food she’s ever had. I pulled up the menu and everything looked amazing. So I started the 20 minute drive over there.
Let me tell you. This is some of the best food I’ve not only had in Kansas City but some of the best tacos I’ve ever had, even better than Austin street tacos. The tamale literally brought tears to my eyes. It was moist, it was flavorful. It was perfect.
10/10. Amazing. Perfect. No notes.

So disgusting. The food looked old and tasted gross. The tortillas on the tacos were drenched in grease and the Tamales tasted raw. We ended up leaving pretty much every thing we ordered.

They were so great I had like six orders they brought them to my car the food was excellent I will be going back many many times

Absolute gem!

Definitely get the Carnitas or Pastor, the asada was just okay.

They have great salsas to top your tacos.

2-3 Carnitas Tacos with cilantro, onion, salsa verde . . . you have yourself a filling and affordable meal.

A line will easily form during lunch time but service is quick and exceptional

Went here today for the first time. And let me tell you the second you walk in this door you are hit by an aroma of meat being cooked & tortillas being made. It smelt sooooo amazing in there. I went ahead and got some barbacoa & asada tacos! They were soo good! Even got an order of tamales & some fresh Tortillas to go! 10/10 I would deff go back again. The tamales were also amazing! Thank you!
