Very welcoming! I was visiting KC from Dallas over the weekend. My phone died while I was at the Slaps and I needed to uber to the airport, so stopped in Chicago's for a drink and a charge. It can be awkward going into a neighborhood bar when you aren't local but the bartender (I think his name is Kyle) was very warm and welcoming! Reasonably priced too, especially compared to Dallas bars!
This is a fun and easy to miss corner bar. It's aptply named Chicago's as every element of that establishment is evocative of Chicago. It comes complete with the gasoline referred to as Malört and, as a rare treat, Green Chartreuse.
Absolutely loved our visit to Chicagos! The festive Christmas atmosphere was a delightful touch during our trip from Canada for the Chiefs game. The owners and staff were incredibly welcoming, making us feel right at home. The locals added to the fantastic vibe. Highly recommend this little gem for its great atmosphere and fantastic hospitality
