Final Cut Steakhouse

Disappointing experience overall.

We were the first party seated when the restaurant opened, yet it still took more than 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Our server, Lake, was excellent throughout the meal—friendly, attentive, and the only reason I’m not giving the service a 1-star rating.

Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to expectations. Two of the three ribeyes were cooked to the wrong temperature. The filet was cooked properly but was extremely salty. The two orders of scallops and the French onion soup were also so salty that they were difficult to eat.

The staff did offer to remake the dishes, which I appreciated, but after already waiting so long for our meals, we decided not to wait even longer and just made the best of it.

Given the prices and reputation, I expected a much better dining experience.

Ordered boullibasse and it was outstanding.
Very flavorable and huge portions.
What we liked, it was prepared when ordered; the mahi mahi, the shrimp and the mussels were awesome.
The head chef Bobby is great for steering us to this entree.
Overall a very pleasant meal.
And Juan gave us outstanding service, thank you.

The Gumbo was not great. The waitress was amazing. The price was outrageous for the portion sizes you got.

We ordered the Thursday special which was a 13 ounce steak loaded baked potato and salad. The steak had good flavor but was about 25 percent gristle. When the host asked how our meal was I told him and he replied that we should have chose a more expensive steak.

For the price you’re paying for streak, they should be cooked how you like them. I ordered a medium and it was borderline medium well/well done. My guest ordered a Medium well and it came out Well done. The server asked us to cut in and see if they were ok. I let her know it was over cooked as well as my guest, she was apologetic and grabbed the manager. Manager said he heard there was a problem with the food, told him the issue and he was apologetic but neither offered to remake them or any compensation on the bill. I’ve been to well over several steak houses, some pricier and some not and all have resolved issues if there was one. I don’t recommend this over price under delivered establishment.

We were not impressed. My partner had a steak which he liked. It was good, not great. I had the seabass… it was just ok. I loved the decor and atmosphere which is why I'm giving this a 4 stars instead of 3 stars. We also enjoyed the bread and crackers… quite tasty.

We tried it …. There are better places to go for the price point. If I'm spending over $100 pp I want to be WOW'd

Food was very good, not great, but well worth the money. Atmosphere was kind of dull, but it was okay. Service was pretty slow considering we were 2 or only 12 people in the whole restaurant. Overall, its a solid 4 star place.

The host sat us down, we waited for a few minutes, nobody said hi to us. Two wait person just hovering around. The host sat 2 more guests on the other table and they took care of them first. What the heck! So we got up and went somewhere.

Was looking forward to a great night out with family. We made a reservation for 7pm on a Thursday night. When we arrived there was a line and no host/hostess to greet us. Finally, we checked in for our reservation and they stated that it would be 25 more minutes. The atmosphere is very nice inside and when the shades are drawn there is a pretty view of the speedway. There was a Thursday special we were hoping to order (steak, baked potato and salad). When we asked about it, they informed us that they were all out of the steak and baked potatoes! Really! We even asked if they could substitute something and they would not. Ok, so we ordered other options. It took over 50 minutes to receive our food. We waited and waited and waited. I ordered a steak and house salad, cooked medium which was served med well. The food tasted good, minus a well done overpriced steak. Needless to say we will not be back and do not recommend this place to anyone.

Prior to COVID we had eaten here fairly regularly as it was one of the very best restaurants in the area. The food was amazing and it was one of the few places that offered top tier bourbon and other spirits. We were sad when it remained closed after COVID ended and were elated when it re-opened fairly recently. We have been there twice since it re-opened.

Although the menu has changed slightly, the food is still 5 star. The service was abysmal both times. And quite frankly, there was no excuse for poor service as the restaurant was essentially empty both times (on Saturday nights at 7:00pm). We were seated promptly, but the server did not arrive to take drink orders for a full 10 minutes and then we waited an additional 15 minutes for the drinks to be served from the bar. My husband actually went to the bar to fetch our drinks which were sitting there waiting to be picked up.

The server was extremely unfamiliar with the menu, which I would have overlooked if everything else was great. Our food was served in a reasonable amount of time, but after we finished eating no one appeared to remove the plates or ask about drink/water refills. The server eventually appeared to drop the check off but still did not clear the table or inquire if we wanted anything else.

I rated the atmosphere 3 stars only because although the interior is nice, both times when more patrons arrived, they were seated directly next to us in an empty restaurant.

In summary, the food is great, some of the best we've eaten anywhere. It's a little pricey, but worth it.

The five guest I brought on Thursday were absolutely pleased with the selection, preparation, quality and freshness of the menu! The service was excellent. Juan is professionally friendly, efficient and knows the menu well! His suggestions are exceptional and his attention to detail makes for a great evening.
The manager is attentive but non intrusive and pays attention guest thoughtfully.
Final Cut is our restaurant of choice for local and out of town guest. Don’t miss this place!
