Im probably in there top 10 of people that order delivery from them. Its my favorite fried chicken place. Fried green tomatoes, fried pickles, okra, collard greens, 3 piece dark meal, chicken tenders, baked beans, potato salad are all my favorites here. Love their Mac and cheese too but maybe I will suggest a sharper cheese for a little more flavor. This place is my favorite.

I wish I could give a five star review but I can not my self and my son went in on Sunday for lunch first time there we order and when our drinks came out we noticed in my sons glass there were Ants in his drink we told the staff so they brought my 9yr old another drink and guess what it had ants in it again staff notified and they offer him another flavor third soda agin same problem… we paid full price for everything which is the other sad part the portion sizes was so small for $40 for a kids meal and two piece meal with two tiny pieces of chicken was ridiculous like it tasted good but definitely not worth the price or that experience. In th picture the chicken was small enough to sit on a piece of bread both pieces

I ate here years ago when it was kind of expensive... I was going to eat here today until i seen the prices. Its crazy how much they have raised the prices... It is just un-affordable. You're better off going to go chicken go, KFC, or Popeyes. IMO Popeyes has better value with the same quality of food. Sad tho. LOWER YOUR PRICES!!!!!

First time eating there today and it won't be our last! The food was served fast and hot. The service was some of the best we have experienced when visiting KC. Thank you for a wonderful experience! Love the back story!

I can’t believe I’ve spent $17.91 for 5 wings. No sides… just wings. Not something i plan on doing again.

Gus’s chicken is seriously the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. It’s crispy, juicy, and has just enough spice so it hits without overwhelming. The meat feels fresh and well-seasoned and every bite has crunch and flavor. People say the chicken is the star of the show and I can see why. The sides are solid too and everything comes out hot and satisfying. It’s one of those spots you leave thinking about coming back ASAP.

Great spicy fried chicken. Had the original in Memphis and I think this location is better. I would say this is the best casual restaurant in Kansas City. Very consistent. Friendly, attentive staff, we are repeat customers and will continue to be. I tell folks visiting KC to pass up the gas station BBQ place and treat yourself at Gus's. Love it.

Great chicken. Not too spicy but there is some heat. Chicken was hot and juicy and the sides were good.

Parking: Parking is in the front and side of the restaurant. Plenty of parking available.

Whenever we are in Kansas City, we try to stop by Gus's. We like it so much that we also ordered 12 pieces to go. Spicy chicken at its best!
