I’ve had Gus’s at one other location before and was happy. This location keeps right up and served up delicious chicken, beans, and Mac and cheese. I also really love the fried okra here. The waitress was accommodating for my elderly grandfather who doesn’t move well and sat us near the entrance. My drink never got below half full. Loved it so much I bought a tshirt. Hopefully I can come back sometime soon with my whole family. This was way better than Joe’s bbq next door.

Got turned on to Gus’s many years ago in Austin, Texas. Found out they opened up a location in KC. Had lunch with my parents Sunday, it was their first time, they was really impressed with the chicken and fries. The service was friendly and the food came out quickly. They live up north by the airport, my mother made a comment saying she wished they had a location up north (a little hint to the franchise owner) would definitely recommend and come again!

I am from Memphis and grew up going to Gus' there. I was so happy The Zanone's opened Gus' here is Kansas City. It's the best food, service and atmosphere, you can't beat it. They cater as well and we have done that a few times and love it. Best food, best ownership....Kansas City is lucky to have them

Fried chicken was overly greasy and lacked seasoning to justify the price. Better than the typical fast food fried chicken but not by much.
Best fried chicken in KC in my opinion. Never a bad experience. Glad they have locations here. I've been to the Memphis location as well. Great stuff
