This is aa authentic as it gets! The quesobirria is to dir for....bring a Spanish speaker if you got one of those..otherwise you can always look at pictures and point. Don't care...so worth it!

We visited Taqueria Jalisco just to sample the Tacos Al Pastor but when we saw they had Birria we just had to try that too! The Pastor tacos were okay, pretty good flavor but not remarkable. However, the Birria was absolutely fantastic! Served piping hot with a big steaming bowl of broth to dip in. Really enjoyed the selection of salsas as well! This restaurant has you sit down to order with table service and then pay at the counter. They have a small selection of ice cold beers...

My favorite Mexican food in KC, period. More "street style" than traditional restaurant style, and the food is just amazing. I've known the owner, Don Memo (Guillermo) for years, as he used to run the taco truck in front of Olivares Auto Garage, at Independence Ave/Denver on the Missouri side.
