I live close to this place, and been wanting to try for months. I finally did the other day, and I was impressed. I got 2 street tacos for less than $4. Chicken & steak. Very good meat! I came back the same day later on and got a burrito. For $5 it was big and was super good with steak & rice! I'm glad I found this place and will be returning. Affordable, good food!

My first time there and it was really good. I had gorditas and posole. I will be back, lots more to try.

Add another dining spot to an area of town that's arguably the epicenter of everything Hispanic in greater Kansas City. The lady waiting on me today, who I assumed to be the owner (why else would you bring two toddlers to where you work?) said they'd just opened in November. The restaurant itself I'm guessing was finished off for another business because it clearly has restaurant design written all over it, unlike many other Mexican eateries within less than mile. Less on the "dive" factor, more on the "this really is a restaurant" feel though it lacks the one thing they're going to need to succeed--customers. Unfortunately, even though the lunch I had was quite good, I have to wonder if this is all flying on a wing and a prayer. I've driven by several times and never seen a single person inside, and I was apparently their sole lunch business today. Still, the pork burrito with fiery red sauce mixed with rice was quite delicious. An hour plus later sitting at home I can still sense the tingling burn on my lips, something I like, but which you may not. It's a very limited menu written on a single chalkboard: tortas, hamburgers, pozole (I think, according to their Facebook page which I recommend you check out - burritos, menudo, no evidence of street tacos (like the area needs another choice) and your typical Fanta, Jarritos, Mexican coke selections. No liquor license. Some of those food choices may only be available on weekends as is tradition with many in the area (like Menudo). Chips and sauce in a bottle come with the visit, and the chips are clearly coming out of a bag, not homemade. Not my thing, the chips and sauce trick. You might thing that's great. If I returned I'd opt for the burger. If they look anything like what's on their Facebook page that should be pretty darn good. Worth giving a try, and you might as well, because like most places I review on Yelp, it's unlikely anyone else will. Like a moth I'm drawn to places that haven't been reviewed on Yelp. Places like this need a single review more than Joe's KC needs their 2,700th, wouldn't you agree? If you come: - Park facing North on the opposite side of the street, no parking on West side of street. - Cash only, no credit cards

Had a Mexican burger and tacos were amazing.... But what really got me was the horchata. Now THAT is delicious, all-natural horchata- none of that powdered nonsense
