This food is delicious! Unique combinations of fresh ingredients and meats seasoned & cooked perfectly. The people who work here are friendly and seem to enjoy their work. The chef is very creative, esp for a little taco joint. Check it out and you won't be disappointed.

So good! The taco selection is large and has lots of variety. Simplicity is not a priority, but you won't miss it. The price is right on these at $12 for 3. They aren't small and they are packed with creative flavors. The Fresco was a really good vegetarian option, and the Salazar is mouth watering, like a bacon taco. The grilled pineapple smash carafe is very tasty too! The patio area is pleasant and there is also a room where they will open the extremely large windows in nice weather. If you're exploring tacos in KCK, this place will stand out!Vegetarian options: The Fresco is amazing!Kid-friendliness: Games to play on the patio.Parking: They have a small parking lot and additional parking nearby. Just don't park at Dollar Tree or you'll get towed.

We love the place--the only reason it's 4/5 instead of 5 is that the chicken was a bit dry and "chunked" instead of shredded. The vegetable taco is amazing!

The other place we were going to was crazy busy so we saw this place across the street and I'm sure glad we did. I had the Jorge tacos and they were awesome! Great food, excellent service! I will definitely come back if I am on this side of KC again.

Was driving past Taco Republic and looking for somewhere for lunch so decided to stop by!! My husband and I both got the taco deal, which was 3 tacos, rice, and beans for $12--which I thought was a great price compared to other taco places I have been where it's almost $5 for one taco. The veggie tacos I got were yummy and fresh!! These weren't groundbreaking tacos for me personally, but a solid three out of five. They had a lot of other yummy looking options on their menu besides tacos too!!

Fun, hipster-industrial atmosphere. Decent fried chips, but salsa was fairly meh - too much pepper and not enough cilantro. Also the tacos were a bit dry for a place that has them in the name. Service was great. The cocktails were decent & interesting, plus they had good, ice-cold bottles of Mexican beer available.

Tacos! Give me chips, salsa, tacos, a patio, and cold drinks and I'm set. The Taco Republic checks off all the boxes. They have several options depending on your taste. Live music would be an added plus as well.

We had the best dining experience at Taco Republic. The food was great and so was the Tiki Flight from their drink menu. The Chile Braised Beef tacos were excellent. Just enough fire and the meat was so tender. Our server was great, upbeat and checked on us often. The bartender even came by to see how we liked the cocktails in the Tiki flight. The atmosphere was fun and the restaurant itself was open and welcoming. Lots of outdoor and semi-outdoor seating as well. Good for all ages.

We were waiting on our take out order from a restaurant nearby and popped in for a drink. I was delighted to see they carried some of my favorite tequila alongside some I hadn't tried before. The bar staff was very friendly and helpful. I got to try a new tequila. Oh happy day! I'd love a chance to go back and try the food.

This place is fun. Food definitely 4 stars, but atmosphere and staff easily bump to 4.5. :) The chips and salsa are good. Salsa is a little basic but we easily demolished the entire basket. I got three tacos. The Del Mar (fish) and Papi (steak) were good.

This place was awesome 2 years ago. This time we had our daughter and we had trouble ordering with lack of knowledge of food. So if you're celiac and allergic to dairy, be warned. Otherwise, I'm not sure if we happened to be in on an off day or what, but the tables were sticky, there was no soap in any of the bathroom dispensers, water was on the floor and things just didn't look well maintained. I hope they pull this place back together.Dietary restrictions: Server was not very confident about gluten(celiac) containing products and at each step we had to keep asking and inquiring if something had butter (dairy allergy). It's hard to put your trust in a place when something you could eat could send you to a hospital. I think some training would be helpful.

We’ve been here twice previously for happy hour and had a great time. Today we decided to come to try out the rest of the menu and left a bit disappointed. It took quite a while before the server asked us for our drinks (which came to our table after our food). Then we found a produce sticker in one of the tacos. It’s possible they were understaffed tonight, as we saw what seemed to be the manager having a conversation with the servers on the patio about their responsibilities. My friend’s taco fell apart as soon as he picked it up, and the rest lacked the flavor we were hoping for. The Jorge taco was solid, though! I think with more staff, better training, and a lack of foreign materials in the tacos the place could be much better.

Been here 3 times and the first 2 were good. But last night was the worst service I have ever received in my entire life. And this is not an exaggeration. Our waitress was new so some mistakes are expected, but...We sat for over 15 minutes with no one taking our drink order. When she finally came to take our drink order by that time we all knew what we wanted. So we also ordered our food. Another 15 minutes goes by and we still did not have our waters or margaritas ordered. Our main course starts to arrive, and we still had not received the Queso ordered or even the chips and salsa that our waitress said repeatedly she would bring. Our main course was chalk full of mistakes, not 2 or 3 but every single person and multiple mistakes. Finally our waters arrived halfway through the meal. Luckily our appetizers arrived as a main course was sent back to be made without onions. Our margaritas ordered didn't arrive until an HOUR after we sat down and dinner was nearly done. Never once did our waters get refilled. Asked for sides of sour cream when food was ordered, but it wasn't delivered until main course was done. The list goes on, a d the waitress wasn't rude and apologized, once saying she was new. But I'm dead serious when I say at 40 years old it was the absolute worst service I've ever received in my life. The bartender/manager

We attended the 47th street foodie festival last weekend and I decided to finally try Taco Republic. S&P Chicken: shredded chicken, lettuce, republic cheese. It was ok. The chicken was a little dry. S&P Beef: Beer and Chili braised beef brisket, lettuce, republic cheese. The flavor was good but overall it was a bit too greasy. Old School Taco: ground beef, corn, potatoes, spinach, cheddar and jack cheeses. This was my favorite. Lots of flavor and texture. Fresco Taco: cucumber, golden beets, corn, avocado, Cotija cheese, sliced radish, cilantro lime aioli. I have never had a vegetarian taco before so I had to try it. It was good. It had a ton of guacamole on it. And I had to have a margarita ‍

Tacos and atmosphere really hit the spot. Only complaint was that it started raining and had to move inside away from the sandpit. Luckily there was an open table and our server helped us move our stuff. House marg was so good I ordered 3. Queso espinaca was 10/10. I did almost get locked in the bathroom but with a little persistence I made it out alive. Will go again.
