In Kansas City, Kansas, Tacos El Viejon location off of Osage Ave. and Seventh Street has great Mexican food. This restaurants dishes are fantastic, the cold bar has fresh veggies to accompany your plate. You like or don like your tacos with veggies, this is the spot. They don't put put onions or cilantro on their tacos, you add it at the cold bar AS MUCH as you want. We ate the Torta and Alambre dishes, also ordered yellow corn tortillas on the side that tastes really good.
They have three locations for a reason, this Mexican Restaurant has wonderful service and fantastic taste.

Their asada is literally the best in town! Quesabirria torta is bomb, highly recommend! Only reason it's not 5 stars us because one their guacamole salsa is lacking flavor and spice and I once got a regular torta and they used a different bread that was smaller and kind of felt I got cheated for the price of the torta when I know they usually use the traditional round bolillo bread but other than that my go to spot and always recommending this pop shop taco spot!

We’ve visited this location a few times and really enjoy the fast and friendly service. The tacos are very good, but the pastor could use a little more flavor. Love the array of salsas, condiments, and toppings. The red picante salsa is no joke - lots of heat. Our favorite salsa is the creamy green. Rice and beans were very good. Would definitely come again - it’s a convenient spot for late night tacos!

I recently visited a taco restaurant with a group of four, and overall, the experience was a mix of great food and disappointing service.
We ordered a wide variety of tacos, and I have to say—the food was really good. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. It’s definitely a spot that knows how to make delicious tacos.
However, the service didn’t quite match the quality of the food. One of the employees came off as a bit rude. I asked for an empty plate and a small cup for sauces, and he gave me one without issue. But when my friend asked for additional cups so we could try all three different sauces, he refused without much explanation. It was confusing, especially since we were a group and just wanted to share and enjoy the different flavors.
It wasn’t a huge issue, but it did take away from the overall experience. Great tacos, but the customer service could definitely be more friendly and accommodating.
