The beer was great. The service was good. And the food quality was good, but pricey. Nearly every entree is $18 or more. Dinner for four plus three drinks and one soft drink was $135 before the tip. Huge portions, but give me half the food and charge me 12- 14 bucks. Win-win!

I just had my retirement party at 23rd street brewery and they were fantastic. The food was great, the service was exceptional. They watched the appetizer table and kept up, they brought out whatever we needed. They kept up with serving the party goers. Many said this is a great place for a party, the party was a success and their service was a great contribution to that. They also handled the shift as it was to be outside but Kansas weather took a big dive and arranged for us inside. Gwen was our assigned server and did an excellent job. It was just wondeful. Thank you!

Lunch date. Not impressed with the menu selections. Decent burger. Fish n chips were just blah (nothing to brag about). Service was ok…not customer friendly… just took the order and moved on. Atmosphere was ok except for the STICKY table. Menu, coasters arms everything stuck to it. Felt dirty ?

Food has gone up drastically in price. Imagine $23 for a Mac and cheese and $20 for a salad. $19 for a burger. I no longer eat here. I meet up with friends and might have a soda, but their food is WAY overpriced now for me to shell out that amount. Bigg's BBQ has WAY better Mac and cheese with huge chunks of burnt ends in it and it's only $16.

Had an amazing time with a party of 10 for my sons 21st surprise birthday. Staff and management were amazing with their service and even allowed us to bring in our own ice cream Bday cake. We had food from salads to burgers to chicken marsala. All the food was delicious. Great cook to order burgers with yummy fries. We had cocktails, beer and even a free birthday shot for my son. Everything was great. Give it a try!

One of two great brewpubs in town but this one is better for watching sports, with their many TVs, and has a good patio. They will also let you taste new beers here before you buy (just a sip, but that's all you need to know if you'll like it).Update 2024: Not just two breweries in town anymore. Now there are a total of five (used to be six until Yankee Tank went down). Unfortunately, the service here just isn't as good as it used to be. But I don't know if that's specific to this place or the new generation of servers/bartenders in general.

Food: the entire plate was filled with sauce, extending nearly to the edges. The sauce was for the entrée, not the sides, etc. Beware, if a menu item includes sauce. The food itself was ok. Beer/brewery: staff were not able to answer any of my questions about the brewery. The beer is pretty lackluster. Beer geeks, look elsewhere; staff are poorly trained, and while the beer menu is decent, I would not want to buy any of them again. The place reminds me of a cross between an Applebees and a sub-par brewery. There are much better brewery options in the area.

$22-$25 for a cheeseburger, $19 for a salad, $22 for a Mac and cheese. I used to eat here once in a while, but won't be back until they lower the outrageous prices. No thank you. The food is not even good. Wait staff has usually been attentive, but prices are through the roof. A burger and salad at The Savoy Grill (fancy place in KC) will run you quite a bit less than the new prices here.

Outside of the ambiance the food is way overpriced for what tasted like a frozen burger. Burger was super bland. The fries were good, but that's about it. For 6 of us (2kids meals) the bill before tip was $141.
