I can't share enough how good the food at Cafe The Mani was! My partner and I dined in, and we got the tangsuyuk, kimchi jeon, and jajangmyeon. All was suberb and so authentic, but what really topped it off was the service!!! A piece of tangsuyuk dropped from the platter as the staff was setting it down, and he brought both my partner and I a free pear slush (which was also delicious). It was so, so kind and thoughtful of the staff. If we ever are in Lawrence again, Cafe The Mani is going to be our first stop!

First time going here, the food is amazing. It’s a cute place to eat and we were told before we ordered that they were very busy and it would be about 35min wait for our food, which we gladly agreed to…so glad we did. We will definitely be back.

I loved my order, JJA-Jang, and meat dumplings.
My husband wasn’t as impressed with his Bi-Bim-Bap with beef. Thought there wasn’t enough flavor and too much lettuce. But I tried it and thought it was good.
Service was good, atmosphere was a little lacking luster.
Over great experience though.

Had lunch here on Saturday with my mother. We both had kimchi sundubu (jjigae) -- best I've had since I lived in Busan. Will be back many times.

The sundubu-jjigae with kimchi was amazing, as was my side of kimchi. The gimbap and sauce was very delicious, too. I even bought a container of kimchi to take home and I'm a little picky about how kimchi tastes. Very enjoyable experience.

We drive from Overland Park just to get this food. It’s the best around in terms of contemporary Korean food. Always in point with the tteokpokki and the kimbap and the fried chicken is chefs kiss. Always a good time.

It is an amazing place to visit. They serve really tasty, authentic Korean food. I like that they have many vegetarian options, so I can visit with my vegetarian friends. And they have many Korean cultural stuffs. I would like to say it’s a little Korea in Lawrence. If you like Korean or Asian culture, you will really like this place. Culture aside, it’s an amazing place to visit for the great food.

The staff are so nice. One of them gave me a new dessert menu, “Bing-su,” to try, and it was so good. It was the cherry on top of my amazing dinner. Everyone MUST try it after the meal. I will definitely visit here again!

I visited cafe the mani with my family a bit ago and it was super good. The jja-jang especially is really authentic and tasty, and it reminded me of when i went to korea. They are super consistent and the service is great. The cashiers are super nice and helpful and the menu is very diverse. I have tried a lot of the menu by now, and everything i’ve tried was mind blowingly delicious and it all tasted super homey and fresh. The vibe inside was great and the music was nice upbeat and not too loud. Their new summer menu item “Bingsoo” is super refreshing and it tastes exactly like it did in korea. All in all this place is a 10/10 and i would definitely recommend to anyone that wants to try new things or vice verca, and reminisce of korea. ?

A new summer menu has been added at Cafe the Mani! My family and I are regulars there and we were thrilled to check out the new items when we brought some family and friends from Iowa. Aside from their delicious authentic Korean dishes, they're now serving Bingsoo (shaved ice) for the season. We ordered both red bean and strawberry Bingsoo. The kids loved the strawberry ones, and my friends and I (all from Korea) preferred the red beans. Honestly, everyone should try both. We also had their amazing fried chicken, as usual. The Bingsoo is big enough for 2-3 people to share, and they provided small cups for us. I highly recommend trying the new summer menu, and my friends from Iowa were so envious that we have an authentic Korean restaurant in town.
