Atmosphere is great. Great cross of a towny and dive. Has different levels that has different vibes. However, the bartender Sophia R. Is not very nice. My group asked if a specific friend of ours was working the main bar and she was very dismissive and rude for asking. Then proceeded to be rude to us and other patrons beside us. I understand that service work is grueling and at times unforgiving, but she was especially rude. We like taproom, but would not visit if she is on shift. Otherwise, always a great experience. Great authentic Lawrence atmosphere.

G&T was 4 dollars so pretty great a price, the music was nice. Wish the first floor had a life music system, just like the basement

Have been here many times, love this place, but today a girl bartender was so rude off the start. Gave us a lot of attitude. I am Ukrainian refugee and she was looking at my id like it’s a fake one. When I refused to tip she grabbed money from my hand and said THIS IS MY TIP AND YOU CAN NEVER COME BACK. Like what? That was the worst experience at a bar in Lawrence. Don’t come here if you don’t want to be treated poorly.

Not a great environment and an especially uncommunicative staff. Unwilling to answer questions and inquires.

Margo for some reason hates her life and is the worst bartender I've ever had. She couldn't poor a drink to save her life. And made me feel unsafe. We had a party of 15 people coming but now the 15 of us are going to the bottle neck tonight.Ftfl.

Cozy corner hideaway. No food, get your own drink at the bar. We went to hear a trio composed of Mike Hawkins, Tom Harrington, Al Fuller. We enjoyed the music very much!

This is probably my favorite spot to have a drink in Lawrence as of now. Definitely more of mature vibe and less of a college bar. Everyone here is always really chill and they got 2$ PBR on tap which is dope.

Good drinks and good bartenders. The seating is okay, it's not real plentiful. But the do have a lower level with seating too.
Book club meetings are the best here - great drinks and excellent service make it a great place to chat.
An eclectic crowd can be found here. It's not a frat bar at all and is a great place to hang late night. The basement is a dance club on the weekends. The drinks are reasonably priced, especially since I live in Chicago.
