The Sandbar Reviews
This bar is a blast! The bartenders we're friendly and amazing! The atmosphere was fun! The music was great! We stopped by on our way through doing a pub crawl through the strip and this is one place we stayed longer for. We will be back!

The Sandbar is a lively and iconic destination in Lawrence, offering a party atmosphere every night. This dog-friendly spot features fantastic drinks, fun toys, colorful walls adorned with pictures, and lights that create a fun environment. The loud music gets guests moving and singing, making it a great place for a lively night out. The interior is small, with a beach decor theme and a large patio area out front with tables, perfect for people watching after events like the Busker Festival. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the cocktails are all on draft, with some coming with toys, beads, and lights. One popular drink is the Shark Attack, which has a shark filled with a shot of grenadine that can be poured into the blue drink. They also serve beer, mostly domestics and a few craft options, all at good prices—around $5 a cocktail. The walls are decorated with pictures showing years of memories, and the lively atmosphere is complemented by loud music that gets everyone moving. The Sandbar is wheelchair accessible via a ramp and is a must-visit spot for those looking for a fun, lively experience.
