“Great coffee shop and I love the dry bar (non-alcoholic bar). Unique drinks and atmosphere - a great place to meet up with friends. The only food options are a variety of bagels with different kinds of sweet or savory spreads. The drinks are the stars of the show there - I've never had one I didn't like. A little pricey, but a lot of the drink components are made in-house so you're getting quality ingredients and complexity of flavor. A real gem of Lawrence, if you ask me!“

“Visiting from Florida and Joe was fantastic! The bar reminds me of our beach bars back home (minus the beach of course). Joe was lively, friendly, and personable. We went mid afternoon on a Saturday and the bar wasn’t too crowded. Drinks were great and you can’t beat the price. Very happy that I got to experience this place and that we got to meet Joe.“

“I was actually expecting a simple tavern when I came into town to perform this past Friday. Once inside though, the venue had a night club vibe to it. Still intimate, but more upscale than a regular bar. The layout is nice and clean. Plus the downstairs room is pretty cool and isolated to the point where 2 separate events can be held simultaneously. Bottom line is, Elmo's is a nice spot with good vibes and staff. Can't wait to return in a couple of months. Thanks for a good time.“

“I used to hang out here in grad school in the early 2000s and remembered they had good burgers. I returned to have a West Coast Classic (with egg added) and onion rings and it did not disappoint! It's just as tasty as I remember on those days I hung out with my friend that bartended here 22 years ago! Sometimes we build up things as better than they really are out of nostalgia, but the West Coast Saloon burger is not one of those things.“

“Stopped in to feel the vibe on Wed Feb 18th around 630pm, it was empty but they had a live music and he was amazing! The bartender was so friendly. She advised the full kitchen wouldnt be up running until the week of March 1. She said they are busy on weekends with college crowd and have great drink specials then. They have a dance floor which im super excited about. There hasn't been a country place with a dance floor since the Cadilac Ranch! im aging myself....But glad to have this place and hope they can get it going and last here!“

“I love their pizza. There’s not that much to it. I am nitpicking but it could be a little cheaper per slice(3.00$ now), but people have to make a living. This pizza is a little bit similar to casy pizza. So if you don’t like greasy pizza, this is not the place for you.“

“Atmosphere is great. Great cross of a towny and dive. Has different levels that has different vibes. However, the bartender Sophia R. Is not very nice. My group asked if a specific friend of ours was working the main bar and she was very dismissive and rude for asking. Then proceeded to be rude to us and other patrons beside us. I understand that service work is grueling and at times unforgiving, but she was especially rude. We like taproom, but would not visit if she is on shift. Otherwise, always a great experience. Great authentic Lawrence atmosphere.“

“We had the pleasure of breakfast this morning at the Roost. The staff was wonderful, the food was excellent and we took some delicious whole bean coffee home with us. Definitely worth a stop for a meal or coffee❤️ the benny (eggs Benedict) was out of this world, and the homemade habanero peach jelly was fantastic!!!!“

“Leroys is the place to be in Lawrence if you have a big group! We just had a Delta Upsilon Fraternity Alumni party there and it more than accommodated what we needed. The location is great, awesome TVs everywhere, cold drinks and great service! The Chiefs won! This is a fantastic venue and great for Lawrence!“

“We live close to El Potro so we go there frequently. We always have the best service no matter how busy they are. The staff is kind and friendly and they work hard! Food is always great!“

“I waited 30 minutes for my food, but that was to be expected because they had been bombarded by a gigantic order before they even opened which caused them to open up late. The staff handled it very well giving everybody a realistic expectation of when their food would be out. It was Valentine's Day and the crew deserves recognition for the work they put in from 11:00 to noon“
