“We were in Lawrence dropping off our kid at
KU and decided to check this place out. This is now one of our favorite bars of all time. Joe was slinging some excellent drinks and interacted with everyone at the bar. If I lived in Lawrence, this would be my neighborhood bar.“

“The atmosphere and people were genuinely amazing that night. The seating was kind of uncomfortable in the outside area. Overall cool little bar by the Granada and the $2 peach shots were ?Didn’t get any food and there was no service at the table, that night at least, it was go to the bar to be served.“

“In addition to a friendly, safe, and clean bar atmosphere, the food is fantastic. You won’t find another bar in town with the same caliber palate and personality. I highly recommend checking them out, but be careful, you might become a regular just for the eats!“
“I was actually expecting a simple tavern when I came into town to perform this past Friday. Once inside though, the venue had a night club vibe to it. Still intimate, but more upscale than a regular bar. The layout is nice and clean. Plus the downstairs room is pretty cool and isolated to the point where 2 separate events can be held simultaneously. Bottom line is, Elmo's is a nice spot with good vibes and staff. Can't wait to return in a couple of months. Thanks for a good time.“

“I cant believe this is the first time I've been here but I will definitely come back! The fried mushrooms and Mushroom Swiss burger were delicious. The staff is super friendly and attentive! Also they have pool tables! The prices on both food and drinks were more than fair. They cleaned the countertop regularly (i watched). I was super happy!“
“Leroys is the place to be in Lawrence if you have a big group! We just had a Delta Upsilon Fraternity Alumni party there and it more than accommodated what we needed. The location is great, awesome TVs everywhere, cold drinks and great service! The Chiefs won! This is a fantastic venue and great for Lawrence!“

“Cool local spot. They have this weird booze called Zamboo. Makes your mouth numb. You've really got to try it at least once. They always have great drink specials on beers. The patio is great to hang out on a nice day. Also a good option for live music.“

“The "Cheers" of Lawrence. Harbour Lights is very welcoming and fun with a great community of regulars. Everyone on staff is great, Thursday nights are my favorite time to come, my favorite bartender and friends come then so come get a drink with us.“
“I have been playing pool at Emipre for about 8 months now. We live in Ottawa so we have a short drive home but it’s worth it. Great people,the women really encourage other women, men are nice and respectful to me and my husband. Tables are much better than Ottawa and the food is pretty good. Thanks Lawrence!!!“

“I love their pizza. There’s not that much to it. I am nitpicking but it could be a little cheaper per slice(3.00$ now), but people have to make a living. This pizza is a little bit similar to casy pizza. So if you don’t like greasy pizza, this is not the place for you.“

“I love this place I really do recommend this place all day every day never been disappointed the best mexican restaurant in Lawrence and I recommend their Skillets the one with everything like Chile relleno and Tamale and everything its so delicious and there chips and salsa and Cheese Dip so darn amazing yummy.“

“We were pleased with most of the meal. Mimosa was served warm. Appetizer served without plates to share. Took over 10 minutes before we saw our waitress again to ask for plates. Nacho appetizer. Taco meat was runny without flavor. Not sure how to explain it. I'd recommend even with these issues. Usually, service is great, and food is good.“

“I DO love me some local pizza! Papa Kenos was just a short walk from my hotel, so off I went. Very friendly staff, great small pizzeria feel and their thin crust pizza really hit the spot. A little TOO much! I meant to take half of it to the hotel for later.... I left empty-handed, but with a very full stomach!“

“The waitress was very friendly and authentic. She had several mishaps which reminded me of my waitressing days. She charmingly navigated her way through them. The food was ok - pancakes dry, the Denver skillet was dry too but a good size. The syrup container was very sticky. The bacon was cooked well. It's convenient for where we are staying - not sure if it's worth driving to especially when it's cold outside.“

“Intimate and well-lit, Nostalgia Room is my favorite place in Lawrence to chill, beating out the public library even.
Features: tea, coffee, and "mocktails" made with care and acumen. Most importantly, there are no screens beaming poison into one's eyes and brain.“
