“Stopped in last week for some dinner and to watch the game. I've been to this location several times but never left a review. I've always enjoyed the food and my last visit was no exception. I had an order of traditional wings with the hot sauce. Perfect level of heat for me and delicious, big wings, not the tiny ones you usually get at other restaurants. I was between a couple of entree choices and asked for input from our really friendly server, Maya. She helped me choose the bacon pimento grilled chicken sandwich. BINGO. Perfect choice. The melty pimento cheese and bacon were the perfect addition to perk up the grilled chicken. The server was really attentive, too, making sure we were happy with our food and checking in on us often. I will be back often. Perfect evening, aside from my favorite college basketball team losing that night...“
“Excellent food and drinks, great service, and atmosphere. It is expensive, but definitely an enjoyable experience. Selection of craft beers rotates, and usually includes some really good options. The menu is slightly limited in options, would recommend reviewing it prior to going, so you know if there is something there you would like to eat. But everything on the menu we have tried is delicious. Can be crowded on the weekends and during nice weather. Not a huge selection of liquor, but has all of the standard options (I would have loved an 18 year old Speyside Scotch to go with my dinner, had to settle on a martini instead).Kid-friendliness: I would say this is not a kid friendly location. I have seen kids, but the vibe is more "adult" and classy. Think "place I would take a date that has low lights and conversations over drinks where we share a dessert."“
“Great food, great people, very friendly, personable, and tight knit. Everyone seems to enjoy themselves whether it’s the staff or the customers. The guy behind the bar is very fun, kind, and super efficient! I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for either a classic breakfast, or something out of your comfort zone. If you’re in Lawrence, give this place a shot!“
“This is one of my favorite spots in Lawrence. I like their wraps and their barbecue mac 'n' cheese. I love getting their loaded cheese fries subbed with tots. Only for dine in though. They get soggy if you get them for takeout. The wait staff is always super friendly and attentive. The kitchen can be a bit slow at times but that's understandable with all the staffing issues going on in general. The atmosphere is fun, especially when it's busy. There are many TVs for watching sports.“
“I love Runza! My favorite is the spicy jack Runza, hold the jalapenos. For a while they had issues with onion rings (overcooked), but now they're always perfect! My current weakness is the mint chocolate shake, hold the sprinkles. So good!!Dietary restrictions: They don't actually have gluten free products, but you can have any hamburger without the bun.“
“Our server, Kiara was just amazing! The food is delicious too!Kid-friendliness: The atmosphere is very welcoming to kids! The servers and even other folks eating are just sweet as can be. You can tell this place brings in good people! Every time we've visited, they're just very friendly to kiddos :)“
“Nothing but positive things to say about this place.Five of us went on a Tuesday night. They sat us outside, as requested. Turned on the heaters for us, as requested. The waiter came by frequently to check on us. He was patient, informed, helpful, friendly, polite, and professional. We ordered the chorizo nachos as an appetizer. Super yummy. Big enough for the 5 of us to share.I ordered the wings for r dinner as that was the special of the night and they were 1/2 of ($7). My brother and sister split the “Night Moves” pizza. My other sister got the kale and beets salad. My other sister got the fish and chips.I loved the wings. But I could only eat 4 after gorging myself on nachos. I took home the other 6 wings. My brother and sister had 2 slices of pizza leftover. My sister loved the salad and finished all of it.My other sister loved the fish and chips and we all tried them. The sauce is kind of sweet, but also has a lemony taste. She had leftovers and took it home.We really enjoyed ourselves. The heaters kept us very comfortable so we could all take off our coats outside after a while. The bill was very reasonable. I would definitely return.“
“The Brooklyn Breakfast sandwich was the breakfast sandwich I didn't know I needed in life. The saltiness of the meat paired well with the creaminess of the egg yolk and the richness of the cheese! Excellent!! The Traditional breakfast was great. Perfectly crispy bacon, eggs were on point, and the toast and potatoes were fantastic. Definitely recommend!!“
“Wow, a hot dog has been a staple that I have grown up with ever since I was a kid and so I have literally seen a hot dog at its worst. With just ketchup and a bun, and I've learned through the years to just live with that. I got a hankering today for a hotdog but I didn't feel like making a hotdog at home so I started looking online to see if there was anywhere in the area that had a good hotdog and I came across this place. I read the reviews, but the final decision really comes from my curiosity to find out for myself. I had a hard time finding the place due to it being in sort of a strip mall type area. But when I found it, it was kind of small but I don't judge by the size of a place, so I continued to go in. I was immediately greeted by the smile of a man working behind the counter, who made me feel very welcome. The menu is listed on a chalkboard as soon as you enter, and you get a full view of what they offer. Although the menu is limited the choices, are pleasing to the eye. I didn't have to wait long for my food, and it was delivered to me with a smile and an invitation to return. I ordered the Chicago dog meal. Hoodoggie!!!!! This hotdog was off the chain. Bursting with flavor, condiments on the hotdog were supremely plentiful. Every bite was worth the price and the tots that came along with. It had a pop of flavor that was absolutely phenomenal. I will definitely be back when I'm in the mood for a delicious hotdog. They have taken hot dog to a level that I've never had before. Some people have traveled to Chicago to have an authentic Chicago dog. Some people have traveled to other places who specialize in hot dogs, but I'm from the Midwest we really don't have anything special about hotdogs here, so when I run into a place that can make a hotdog compete with chicken, pizza, and the big burger...then you know they know what they are doin hunni!!!“
“Been here several times and each time is always as great as the last. I am a little sad however that the deviled eggs are no longer since that’s what pulled me into this restaurant the first time. But their menu is creative and delicious. The waiters and waitresses always outdo themselves. Will continue to dine here.“
“I love this place. They serve really excellent food for a decent price. The specials are always good. They have really good burgers as well. Some of my favorite meals from here are the open face roast beef, the CFS, the smoked Carolina gold chicken sandwich. The servers are all very nice and take care of the guests extremely well.“
“This was the first time I've eaten at the big biscuit and I was pleased. The food was delicious. I had the cowboy (chicken fried chicken with eggs and cream gravy). It was pricey (17.99) but oh man was it filling and tasty. The menu selection had cheaper selections too as well as a wide selection of choices. The server was polite and helpful. He checked on us several times and made sure our drinks never emptied. If breakfast is one of your favorite meals, you won't go wrong choosing to eat here.“
“Small cakes went above and beyond for me. Due to a misunderstanding on my part, I showed up needing gluten-free cupcakes and they had none. They stopped what they were doing and made me some right away that were ready for pick up in an hour and a half! They could not have been more gracious and helpful, and I might add that the cupcakes they made were absolutely delicious, and beautifully decorated. Five stars for sure! I will recommend this business to everyone I know.“
“I should have reviewed this place years ago! We go here almost weekly to eat. Everything we’ve ever gotten has been top notch. Notable favorites are the financiers (and their frosting is dyed with fruit juices, not food dye! They’re also gluten free -made from almond flour - if you’re looking for that.), their ham and egg omelette sandwich, their fried chicken sandwich, and the rose cardamom latte. And my son is obsessed with their gateau Breton (a buttery cake with different delicious jams inside - so good!). All of our kids love going here and the employees have always been welcoming and kind. We love grabbing it to go and taking to nearby South Park or eating there and admiring the many squirrel and hot balloon decorations that adorn the inside. You can’t go wrong with anything here!“
“I always have amazing service at Culver’s. The employees are so kind & helpful. I have had a couple mistakes on my orders but other than the restaurant is AMAZING. They have a lot of comfort foods that I enjoy. The food temperature is amazing. Great portions of the food.“
“Omg - first time here. I had the salmon sandwich with sweet potato fries and hubby had steak frites - all excellent! I had an espresso martini (fabulous) and hubby had gin and tonic which he said was excellent. I appreciate that this restaurant has lots of gluten free selections as my granddaughter has celiac disease. Our server Lucas was attentive but not intrusive.“
“Friday night the fresh halibut special was really delicious, perfectly cooked and flavorful. The generous portion was served with collard greens and a light lemon ginger buttery sauce. We also shared the mussels in miso ginger soup with bing slices. Bing is a crisp flat bread ... perfect with the soup. I think fries would go well with the mussels, but we couldn't resist the dumplings with hot chili sauce. So good! Looking forward to future seafood specials!“
