“We actually chose Blanco's under the assumption that it was Mexican food! Lol! Imagine our surprise when it was BBQ! But we were not disappointed! The venue had a cool atmosphere. “Dylan and his staff were so incredibly welcoming to us when we arrived 13 minutes before closing time; we’d been traveling all day and were desperately looking for food. While I know we must’ve been a huge pain in their side as they were trying to close NOT ONE SINGLE employee gave us dirty looks or complained.I heard conversations in the kitchen with the cook who’d JUST finished cleaning off their grill. When told that they had to fire it up again, there was no complaint or huffing. They served us delicious food that wasn’t thrown together in frustration like other places would do.This Applebee’s should be used (and recognized as) a prime example to corporate of what EXACTLY 5 star customer service is. This team here went above and beyond for us and we were so grateful.Dylan, Applebees should feel fortunate to have you as their employee; kind and patient workers like you who’ll still help others despite it being closing time are incredibly rare to come across. I'm from Ukraine and in my opinion a restaurant should not look like that)))But you know what?! When I walked in, I loved everything right away!!! “My wife and I were in town to visit our son who attends Ottawa University. We had been wanting to stop here for a meal every time we came to town but for some reason, we never did. Well today, we did and what a meal it was. The restaurant is very clean. Games on the tv's and the service was fantastic. Our server was awesome. Shame on me for not having her name. She was extremely attentive. We never had to wait for a refill on our beverages and she was very polite. The food, was amazing. My wife, my son and his girlfriend all agreed. Unfortunately we waited until our last evening in town to eat here. I can't wait for our next visit. For those wondering, I had the Panther Mac Attack with bacon and grilled chicken. DELICIOUS! This place is awesome.“
